“There aren’t any former Mossad who are Delta,” Zack’s arm tightened around the man’s neck as he forced him to enter the living room. “Or the other way around.”
“Wrong.” the man muttered, “Hello Castello, I would shake your hand, but as you can see I am kinda tied up.”
The scratchiness in the man’s voice made Castello pause. This was a man who had passed him intel at one time. A man whose intel he didn’t listen to because he couldn’t verify it.
“I am sorry about your team.”
“I should have listened to your advice.” Castello could admit when he
was wrong, oh he didn’t like it, but he could do it. “You can let him go, Zack.”
“The fuck, Boss—”
“Now!”
Zack clearly disagreed with what his Boss ordered, but he followed it anyway. “Asshole was going through our gear.”
“Who are you?” Castello moved until his back was to the wall. He was more comfortable there.
“I am Malik,” The man raised his hand and went to step forward but paused at Zack’s growl. “Chill dude, I am not going to hurt your Boss.” He nodded to the window, “Zeke is mine, the kid is his, that makes him mine too. I protect what is mine.”

Axel frowned at the empty spot at the kitchen table where Sage should be sitting. It was unusual for him to not be there. He led Grif and Rock toward the living room, where they could hear the mumbled tone of voices.
More voices than there should have been. “Shit, you armed?”
Grif and Rock froze in place, immediately a gun appeared in each of their hands.
“Always,” Grif answered. “What’s wrong?”
“There are more people in there than there should be.”
“He has brain cells,” Rock muttered, “Or at least ears that work and is alert enough to pick up on shit. I think I like him, G.”
“Shh, you.” Grif grinned at Rock, “We brought some people.” He told Axel and moved closer to the door.
“Chill dude, I am not going to hurt your Boss,”A voice filtered out into the hall,“Zeke is mine, the kid is his, that makes him mine too. Iprotect what is mine.”
“The fuck you will.”Zeke? Junior? Fucker! That’s whose ass I amkicking for leaving my baby sister high and fucking dry.“Where is the asshole?”

“Shit.” Castello crossed the room to Axel, moving sideways, matching Axel’s movements step for step, preventing him from getting through to the men who now stood behind him, with the exception of Steele. Balas was still major pissy at the Delta Force Team Panther leader and continued to growl every time Steele moved more than a finger. “It’s okay.” Now that he knew who the intruders were, Castello ignored them and focused on Axel. “We will
figure this shit out. But until we know what happened, don’t do something rash.” He dragged his fingers through his hair. “Don’t bust his balls today, okay?”
His tone immediately put Axel on alert. “The fucker is here?” He could tell by the way Castello was twitching that he was anxious. His eyes kept scanning the room, as if he was expecting trouble from behind him too. Did that mean Zeke was one of them? Axel tried to look, but Castello’s big ass kept getting in his way. “Move.”
“No.” He could see the frustration in Cas’ expression, but tough shit.
“Y’all don’t have a sister, do you?”
“Nope.” Grif muttered, “Well except Mic, but he’s at home with his sister.”
“His sister, who is G and Rock’s woman.” Steele supplied helpfully from his spot on the chair.
Axel counted back from ten, but only reached about six before his head pounded. He couldn’t be quite sure if it was a stroke from his blood pressure exploding or if it was just rage that caused it. Either way, he tried to rein in his temper a little. More because Castello asked it of him than anything else.
