Blair shrugs, but it’s full of defeat. “Nobody ever wants anything other than my body, Sol. And last night… neither of you wanted it.”

“Fuck, baby,” I say quietly. I reach for him, drawing him up out of the chair and straight into my arms. I sit back down in the chair and pull him into my lap, his legs straddling my thighs, his face tucked against my neck. He comes easily, almost boneless. “You’re so much more than what your body can give.”

I press soft kisses to the top of his head, his temple, and the shell of his ear. I’ve never seen him this vulnerable. Not like this. The cocky, mouthy Omega who runs his mouth on my mats is gone. In his place is someone who’s been carrying something heavy for a long time. “There’s something else, isn’t there?” I ask gently.

He’s silent for a long moment. Then he huffs a shaky laugh against my collarbone. “I get attached easily, okay?” His voice is muffled. “I know you know I don’t really have a nest. You’ve been in my place enough times. It’s because people are my nest. I just… I really need that to be okay.”

I tighten my arms around him. “Are you saying that you hanging off my left nipple means more than you being a brat?”

Blair snorts, the sound watery but real. “Yeah. Though I wouldn’t mind hanging off—”

I cut him off with a soft kiss to his lips. “No. I’m just going to hold my beautiful, bratty Omega right now and kiss the fuck out of him.”

A small needy whimper pulls from him and then he smiles against my mouth. “I can get behind that.”

My hand slides down to grab his ass, pulling him closer as I dip my head to his lips again. He melts into the kiss, his handsfisting in my hoodie, his body relaxing against mine like he’s finally letting himself believe he’s allowed to stay.

I don’t know how long we stay like that as I taste the salt of unshed tears on his lashes. I just know that whatever comes next, whatever rules the dean tries to make, whatever his father throws at us, Blair Reyes is ours.

And I’m never letting him think otherwise again.
