“And where am I to get this blood, Michael?”

The old man shrugged his shoulders and told him that he wasn’t sure. “I’m sure you’ll think of something. Take Fredrick and a couple others with you and be fast. The baby will be here soon.”

“What about Ali?”

“What about her?”

“Is she going to be okay?”

“I just told you about the baby, and you want to ask about her?”

“Yes, she’s my mate.”

Michael smiled, telling him that it was about time. “Now go and get back here with the blood. It has to be done soon or…”

Cal stopped him; he’d heard enough doom and gloom for the day. He was going to make sure that he was back so there would be no problems.

“I’ll be back soon. Tell Ali I’ll make everything okay.”

Michael agreed and watched the young man shift and take off. His clothes were ripped and left behind. The man had always been hard on clothes, and he just shook his head. Michael was in a great mood, and even though things were going to turn out harsh for him, he was okay with it, now that Michael knew the vision was coming true. It was all that he needed to hear.

Watching him go, Michael went towards the birthing tent that had been set up and walked in about the time the new baby was born. It was just as he’d seen it and his mind was put at ease. Everything was happening as it was supposed to.

The baby cried out loudly, and the eyes were glowing with a distinct blue ring around them. The next generation of River Clan was there for all the world to see.

“There he is.”
