“I...” Still looking pleased but slightly bemused, he looked back up at me as his cheeks started to flush. “I like that about him.”

Before I could figure out a response, he kissed my cheek. “And I like you.”

All that cuteness was addicting. “I like you too.”

Entirely too much considering it was only our first date.

Chapter 18

Ferris

“Harvey screamed at me in the middle of the office today.” I probably should’ve called Master first before just showing up on his porch, but I hadn’t thought about the situation that logically. “He can’t use spreadsheets. That’s not my fault.”

Showing up right after work was probably rude.

“I’m sorry if this is rude.” I actually wasn’t sure how I’d ended up at Master’s house. “I didn’t think this through.”

Master shook his head and mimed his deep breath move. As I obeyed, he nodded. “Good boy. No matter what else is going on, if you need me, you can always come over. If I’m not here, you’ll call me and let me know where you are and what the problem is.”

It definitely came out as a rule, not a suggestion, so I found myself nodding before the words caught up in my head.

“Come inside.” Taking control, Master stepped back from the door. “You’ve got two options. You can kneel for me by the couch or you can go upstairs and sit on my lap in the chair in the bedroom.”

Oh.

Um.

“I don’t know what to do.” That was always a good answer. “I can come inside, though.”

I could do that.

I even took off my shoes without thinking about it.

When I looked up at Master, he did his breathing thing again and nodded slowly. “Can you tell me how you feel about being touched right now?”

That...that was a good question.

“Um, I don’t have an issue being touched right now but I don’t like how I feel.” I just wasn’t sure how to describe that. “I’m very...I’m a lot right now.”

I really hated feeling like this.

“That’s good information.” He wasn’t upset. He didn’t even seem to think I was insane like Harvey did. “Is there anything else I need to know as your Dom?”

Anything else?

Um.

“I don’t know but I don’t think so.” It was the best I could do. “I will tell you if I figure anything else out.”

Oh.

“I’m hungry. I forgot lunch.”

Yes.

He needed to know that because he liked taking care of me.

“Then we’ll handle the Harvey problem and your emotions first, and second we’ll handle food.” His calm tone and slightly exaggerated breathing were very nice.
