“She’s at peace, and that is pretty close.”

Her phone rang, and she looked.“Kaz.I will see you in a few days.I hope to find some fabric for you tomorrow.”

“Thanks.I am an unabashed textile addict, and I know it.”

She laughed.“We all know it.Right, well, I am back to sand and sun.Start those designs.Remember easy-on, easy-off.Nothing complicated for the drunk or sunbaked.”

Smiling, she opened a portal with the wave of her hand and stepped away from Xiroth and Jenn’s home and onto the sunbaked deck of Mia’s home on Wonder Island.

She watched her phone blink and catch up with the local time.

Meeda’s voice came from the beach.“Everything good?”

“Everything great. She’s strong and healthy and so is little dude.Xiroth looks like he’s going to explode with joy.I am not sure they do that, but he’s a candidate for it.”

Meeda laughed.“There is juice on the table, and Kazuya and Mia went into town to bring back some of that fried stuff you like.”

“I am going to send Mia a request to find out if she can source some local fabric.”

Meeda put on a wrap and walked up to the deck.“Tuvel.”

“Correct.I have asked her to work on designs for wraps and coverups that are easy on and easy off.”

“Oh, she can really do a good job with those.Everything she does has a serious element of cosplay. That goes very well out here.”

“And she will do it with local fibres.”

“Which will be amazing for the tourist traps...uh, trade.”

They laughed.

Meeda smelled like the open ocean and looked free.Vine could see her male on the horizon, but for the first time, Meeda was choosing who she was in contact with.

Vine got some juice and poured it into the coconut.Meeda laughed at her and said, “I am going for a swim.See you in a few hours.”

“Have fun. Thanks for staying out until I got home.”

“No problem.Glad everything went well.”

“It went very well. Now I am a lot more comfortable with the idea of having a baby with Kaz.All the elves around there, and the pixies, were focused on Jenn’s health and the baby and not just high-fiving Xiroth.”

Meeda smiled slowly.“That is very, very good to know.”

“Go get wet, Meeda.I will be here when you get back.”

Meeda grinned, hugged her, and flicked out her wings. She dropped her wrap and flew out over the sea before she summoned her tail as she plunged deep.Meeda was happy here.

Vine changed into swimwear and a wrap and settled onto a lounge with her sippy coconut. It was one of her most omega-ish things to do.That and dressing in super-soft clothing and anything designed by Mia.Nothing suited an omega more than a suit designed by an omega.Every seam lay flat, and the embroidery didn’t touch her skin. She felt pretty when she wore it.

She lay back and just relaxed. She shifted her thighs and listened to the roar of the ocean. When the distant scent of food reached her, she smiled.Kaz knew she was back.He hadn’t rushed.Decompression time after being with people was important.

She took a sip of fruit juice and smiled.Meeda was three miles off the shore playing tag with some dolphins.Kaz was three minutes away. The baby was here, and Eudora was going to make their ads.It was a very relaxing day.

Becoming Mia’s silent partner was one of the best decisions she had ever made. She wondered what decision she would make next. Her instinct for her life’s choices always astonished her.

She heard the rustling of the bags and turned her head toward Kaz.“Hello.”

He smiled and walked over to crouch next to her.“Hello, beautiful. How was the delivery?”
