“So, will you allow me to celebrate with you? We can go out on my yacht tomorrow, I can have my chef prepare us dinner, I can take you anywhere you want to go. Just say the word.” He spoke with confidence and conviction, and she was immediately turned on.

“You have a yacht?”

“I do.”

The two exchanged numbers, and he promised to call her the next day. “Bitchhhhh,” her sister squealed after Marion had walked off. “I told you Miami was a good move.”

Cheyenne would never again lose herself in a man. She had no desire to work like a slave but since her bank account was sitting pretty, she decided to take a few classes. Just in case she ever needed to have a back-up plan. Cheyenne was about to start classes to become a massage therapist. Until then, she was on the hunt for a man that could possibly take care of her, so she wouldn’t have to touch the money that Canyon gave her too often. Marion looked like he could do just that for her. Even if he didn’t stick around long-term, he looked like the type she could for sure get a few thousand out of. If she had to set a goal for herself, she would try to get no less than $5,000. Her house was paid for and so was her car. All she had to pay every month were utilities, but keeping herself up was expensive. After all the time she did in prison, Cheyenne shopped often, and she pampered herself weekly. With the way she spent money, a milli wouldn’t last her until she was old and gray.

Cheyenne was definitely trying to be out here living her best life, and it damn sure looked like Marion could do that for her. Even if he wasn’t around for a long time, he could be around for a good time.

EPILOGUE

Three months later…

“Okay mom and dad, it looks like we’re having a boy,” the doctor sang in an excited voice.

A wide grin eased across Raven’s face. She was still pregnant, and she was so anxious to find out the sex of the baby that she decided she didn’t even want to do a gender reveal. She just wanted to know what her baby was. She looked over at Diric, and he had turned his back to her. Raven found that odd. The doctor wiped the gel off her stomach, and she sat up. The pictures were printed off and questions were answered. When the doctor left the room, Raven spoke.

“Diric. You okay?”

He didn’t say anything. He simply nodded. Raven knew something was wrong, so she stood up and walked over to him. Her heart dropped when she saw tears streaming down Diric’s face. It had to be because of Kash. She wrapped her arms around him, and he hugged her tight.

Diric had been doing good dealing with Kash’s death lately, but hearing that he was having another son triggered something in him. He was happy to be having another child, but he wasmissing Kash too. Raven let him get it all out. “I love you,” she stated when he pulled back from her.

“I know, ma. I love you too. It’s us ‘til the world blow.”

Diric was happy for real. He no longer dealt with the stress of being in the streets, and he had a woman that added to his life. She was helping him to get legal money, and he was about to have another child. Life was good as fuck, and he had hoe ass Xander to thank for it. He never would have thought that the day he broke into Raven’s house, his life would be changed forever.

“Baby, why I gotta cover my eyes?” Heiress asked Amar while he tied a scarf that had been placed over her eyes.

“’Cus it’s a surprise, apple head.”

Heiress kissed her teeth, reached behind her, and smacked him for calling her apple head. When he was done, Amar grabbed her hand and led her through his house and outside. They were on their way to Canyon’s house. He was having a cookout at his house. Since the guys no longer hustled, they no doubt put time and money into legal endeavors, but they also enjoyed life too. Just being able to relax and move on their own accord was lovely to all of them. They had time to spend with their ladies, to travel, to do whatever they wanted to do. Heiress had been working her ass off for the past month trying to grow her clothing brand and to reward her, Amar was taking her to the DR for six days.

Once they were in the yard, Amar took the scarf off her face, and Heiress gasped at the sight before her. It was her dream car. A pink Porsche Panamera. There was a huge red bow on the car, and tears filled her eyes as she jumped into Amar’s arms.

“That’s for going hard and meeting your goals.”

Heiress had set a goal to make $15,000 in one month, and she did that. She spent hours coming up with unique designs and more hours sewing. She marketed herself, got custom orders, she got frustrated, she cried, but she didn’t quit. She even sewed until her hands cramped up. When she looked at the dashboard on her website and saw that she made $15,210 in sales in three weeks, she cried happy tears. Amar had watched her grind. He watched her decline going out to parties with her sister. He saw her losing sleep and barely eating, and he wanted to let her know that he was proud of her.

Heiress placed kisses all over his face. “I love you so much, bae.”

“I love you too.”

She couldn’t wait to get home from Canyon’s cookout because she was going to fuck the hell out of him. She was no longer on birth control and going with the flow. If she had anything to do with it, soon, he’d be joining his homies in the dad club.

“The way you spoil me is crazy,” Yohana walked over to Canyon who was standing at the grill. She wrapped her arms around him from behind.

He wasn’t having a regular cookout. He was having a cookout to celebrate her selling her first house. She had made an $11,000 commission, and Canyon wanted to do something big for her. He had met Kari, and the boy liked him. So did Yohana’s mother. She was scared to be having another baby when her oldest child was thirteen, but she knew Canyon would be a great father. She also had another $19,000 commission coming up because he had just found another investment property that he liked, andthey were waiting to close. Yohana’s life was as close to perfect as it would ever get. The only thing that would make it better was Morris being free.

Canyon turned around to make sure that everyone he invited was in attendance. When everyone was accounted for, he spoke. “It’s only going to get better,” he told her. Canyon caught the eye of the DJ and when he got down on one knee, the DJ cut the music.

Yohana gasped just as the DJ said, “The big homie, Canyon has something he wants to say.”

The backyard was so huge that unless you were right up on him, you couldn’t hear what he was saying to Yohana, but that didn’t matter to him. As long as she heard him.

“We’ve both been married before and it’s not to throw shade, but it wasn’t right for either of us. I know that because I was meant for you, and you were meant for me, so nothing before us was going to be right. I love you, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, Kari, and the new baby. Will you marry me?”
