“Thank you. You’re looking sexy as hell yourself.”
Cheyenne smiled at his compliment, and they left the house. Cheyenne enjoyed the scenery as he drove downtown to the spot. Inside, the small club wasn’t packed, but the event had a nice sized crowd. Mostly black people, and the atmosphere was nice as hell. It was some real grown people shit. Dim lighting. A bar. Cheyenne and Canyon found a table near the front and as they made their way, they passed a couple. That subtle floral scent crept into Canyon’s nose, and he looked up into the eyes of Yohana. His heart beat double time as he peered into her angelic face. He could tell she was shocked to see him, but she recovered quickly. She offered him a small smile and nod and kept it moving. Her date, some dark-skinned nigga with a bald head was right behind her, and Canyon’s blood was boiling from jealousy.
“You want something to drink?” he asked Cheyenne as he flagged a waitress over to them. A drink would literally be the only thing that kept him from losing his shit.
He wanted to storm over to the table and ask Yohana what the fuck she was doing there with another nigga. He wanted to tell that nigga to get the fuck on if he knew what was good for him. Canyon wanted to act an entire ass, but he couldn’t because he was there with his wife.
“Yes. I would like a mixed drink. Something kind of fruity and sweet.”
They ordered their drinks, and Canyon looked around the club. When his eyes fell back on Yohana, bald head was leaned into her whispering in her ear, but she was looking in Canyon’s direction. When their eyes locked, she quickly looked down. Canyon’s jaw muscles flexed as he turned his attention back to the front. Three drinks later, he was finally calm. The evening was cool and back at home, he wasted no time getting out of his clothes. “I need to run out for a minute. I shouldn’t be gone longer than two hours,” he informed Cheyenne.
Cheyenne was used to the Canyon that was always gone. She wasn’t familiar with how he had slowed down while she was away. Him keeping long hours and being gone a lot was normal to her, so she didn’t question it when he said he had to leave. “Okay babe.” She was getting ready to curl up in her bed and look at her favorite YouTubers. The influencers were the ones that were putting her up on the make-up, perfume, and fashion game. Prison had her way out of the loop. Cheyenne could watch them for hours and be content.
Canyon drove like a bat out of hell. He didn’t call first. He knew her son was home, and he didn’t care if she had company. He was wrong as hell. He was supposed to be trying to make things work with Cheyenne, and he was running in behind Yohana. A woman that he didn’t even know that well, but he wanted her. Canyon wanted her bad. He had put up a good fight, but seeing her with another man had done something to him. It had taken every ounce of restraint that he had not to put hands on her date. Canyon knew he had no right, but that didn’t stop him from wanting to.
At her house, Canyon sat in the car and texted her. The only reason he didn’t ring her doorbell was because her son was in the house. It was almost midnight but these days, kids stayed up late. About a minute after he texted her, Yohana opened the door with a confused expression on her face. She was dressed in a short silk tangerine colored robe. Canyon got out of his car and walked up to her. “Your son awake?”
“No, he’s not. He’s asleep. What are you doing here?’
“Who was that nigga?”
“Canyon, is that why you’re here?”
He stepped into her personal space. “Yes. Who was it?”
“Does it matter? You were with your wife.”
“And now, I’m here. I tried so hard, Yohana. I can’t sit over there with her and watch you move on with your life. That nigga don’t feel for you what I do.”
Yohana let out a dejected sigh. “I was supposed to go to the show with my friend, and she got sick. She didn’t want to flake on me, so she hooked me up with her co-worker. I don’t even know him.”
Canyon crashed his lips into hers. All he wanted in that moment was Yohana. He grabbed a handful of her hair and tongued her down so aggressively that her pussy began pulsating. He walked her into the house, and she closed the door behind him. Yohana knew her son was asleep, but she still walked Canyon as fast as she could to her bedroom, closed, and locked the door. Seconds later, her robe was off, and his mouth was exploring every inch of her body. His tongue flickered across her nub, and Yohana sucked in a sharp breath. She rubbed the back of his head as he devoured her. It took less than five minutes for her to erupt into his mouth. Yohana wanted to cry out so bad, but she couldn’t, so she left it at just a whimper.
Canyon came up and entered her while staring into her eyes. “I missed you so fucking much.”
Maybe he was a man trying to have his cake and eat it too. His wife was at home so no matter the circumstances, she was a lowly side bitch, but he felt so good inside of her. No one had ever made her feel the way that Canyon made her feel. Not even Zone. Canyon gave her a natural high from his presence alone but his dick, that shit took her high to a stupid level. She was damn near ready to be his mistress. Yohana wanted him as bad as he wanted her.
“Yohana, don’t do that shit,” he whispered into her mouth, and she didn’t know what he meant, but he made it clear. “If you don’t want to get a nigga killed. Don’t do that shit.” Yeah, he was asking her not to date while he figured shit out with Cheyenne.
She didn’t answer him, but she bit his bottom lip, and he began to fuck her savagely. Five minutes later, she was clawing at his back and confessing all of the feelings that she didn’t want to. “I don’t want anybody but you, Canyon.”
That was music to his ears, and it made him stroke her more aggressively. Canyon roared in her ear as they came together. He didn’t even pull out. He couldn’t. While they both came down from their orgasmic high, he planted kisses all over her face. He couldn’t get enough of Yohana, and he didn’t want to leave her. He couldn’t stay out all night though. That wasn’t fair to Cheyenne. This was the hardest thing that Canyon ever had to do. Either letting Yohana go or crushing Cheyenne. Neither would be pleasurable for him. He almost wished that when he cheated the first time, Cheyenne would have left him then and stuck to her guns.
He pulled out of Yohana and went into her master bathroom. He had finally come down from his jealousy, and he felt at ease and at peace. When he left the bathroom, she was leaning up against her dresser. Canyon walked over to her and cupped her chin in his hand.
“Soon. I promise.”
She simply nodded, and he kissed her on the lips. In the car on the way home, he prayed for a way out of his marriage with Cheyenne.
“I’m so glad you didn’t stay in Chicago,” Heiress’s sister, Omnique, gushed as they walked in the club.
“You just want a club buddy, and after the summer this shit is dead. I will not be coming out in the winter every weekend to party. I’m gon’ be in the house, sewing, and getting to a bag.”
Omnique rolled her eyes upwards. “You act like an old lady. You’d sit in the house if you weren’t getting a bag, and you have an extra bag in your life. It starts with A and ends with mar. Has going to therapy been helping because you need to get over that shit with lame ass Kevin and let a real nigga cuff you,” Omnique talked a mile a minute, and it was Heiress’s turn to roll her eyes.
She hated when people acted as if getting over something traumatic was so easy. If she could simply get over the shit she would. It would have been done long ago. “Or it might just be too late,” Omnique stated as Heiress’s eyes fell on Amar talking to Kirah. His head was bent, and he was talking in her ear.
Heiress hated the fact that her stomach churned at the sight. He placed his hand on the dip in Kirah’s back, and Heiress had to look away. She hadn’t spoken to him since they had sex. He hadn’t even checked on her. Heiress was starting to feel like Amar wasn’t feeling her like that anymore, and she had no one to blame but herself. After all, it was what she wanted, right?
