The door opened and out went the man of the hour. He encouraged me to follow with a tug of the hand and a smile that could convince me to walk a thousand miles. I slid across the seat, joining him in the garage.

He couldn’t help himself.

Those lips touched mine again.

It wasn’t until he got his fill that he turned and headed toward the door closest to the back of the garage.

“Julian,” I rushed out.

“Julian will survive,” he assured me.

I peered over my shoulder, finding Julian standing against the black Escalade with a thumb up. I rested my case. Josiah didn’t leave me with a choice.

Coolness swept across my skin, littering it with tiny bumps. Rose petals gathered at my feet. I placed my free hand over my mouth.

Cream balloons covered the ceiling. Beige strings hung from them. A white rose was at the end of each.

“Josiah,” I gasped.

He didn’t release me. He held on tightly, pulling me further into his beautiful residence. Wood flooring announced each step we made. The modern scape was gorgeous. Thought had been put into the design of the home. Not a detail was spared. Without question, Josiah had partnered with a brilliant builder.

The decor was minimalistic. There were hardly any signs of a female presence. Or, anyone’s presence. The home was a blank canvas.

The kitchen was never ending. There was an abundance of storage and counter space. Four ovens were divided in pairs and stationed in two areas. It was ideal for large families. Like mine.

An oversized fridge was barely noticeable behind the seamless panel. However, the size of the panel that blended well with the cabinetry, was enough evidence.

On the waterfall island that spread from one end of the kitchen were words that rendered me speechless. Josiah pulled me into him. His arms snaked around my body.

“You’re a very special woman. I knew from the moment I laid eyes on you. I don’t call you Sunshine because you light myworld, alone. I call you Sunshine because I know that you light the world of everyone you love.

“Your uniqueness is encompassing. Your softness is so fucking attractive. Your knowledge is sexy. Your confidence is too. Your smile– it does things to me. Your presence consumes me. Your absence consumes me. You’re a dangerous lady, Range.

“Because, I find myself ready and willing to submit to you. To your will. To your wants. Your happiness inspires me like a dream. Your weariness haunts me like a nightmare. In case I haven’t been clear, I want to enhance your already beautiful life.

“Add some dimension. Some more depth. Some details. Will you let me do that for you, Range? Will you be mine? Not for now. Forever.”

He paused, briefly.

“Will you be my headache? My safe space? My stability? My lifeline? My woman?”

Nodding, I confessed, “With pleasure.”

I didn’t miss those cheeks as they rose. Or that twinkle in those eyes. Or the halt of his breath. Or the uncertainty. Or the pride.

“Every day. All day. Always.”

“No recanting? No change of plans. No changing your mind,” he emphasized.

“I know, Josiah.” I admitted. “I know when to stay. And, so, I will. As long as you don’t give me a reason to go.”

He shook his head.

“Deal?” I asked.

“Deal, Sunshine.”

I wasn’t sure how my dress gathered around my ankles. I wasn’t sure when my body had been hoisted. Neither was I sure when my panties disappeared. Or when my legs parted. Or when Josiah’s dick sprung from his briefs.
