“Oh, fuck! I’m?—”
“I know, baby.” His voice is strained, ass muscles flexing beneath my grip as his eyes lock with mine. “I fucking love you.”
My orgasm crashes, taking over my whole body as waves of white-hot pleasure roll through me. Back arching off the bed, I cry out his name again, clenching and tightening around him as he pounds into me, drawing out every last twitch and tremor.
“Shit,” Jax grunts. Rhythm faltering, he gives one final, powerful thrust before he stiffens, his face a beautiful mask of pleasure as he comes, releasing hot ropes of cum deep inside me.
For several moments, we stay locked together, both of us panting and slick with sweat. Careful not to crush me with his weight, he presses his forehead to mine.
“Good morning,” he murmurs, a lazy smile spreading across his face.
Still trying to catch my breath, I laugh softly. “Yeah. Definitely agood morning.”
After a quick shower,we sneak into the kitchen to make a surprise breakfast before Noia and Ryder wake up.
“What are you in the mood for?” he asks, rummaging through the fridge before pulling out eggs and bacon. His hair is starting to grow out on the sides again, and he’s got the top pulled back into a flat ponytail against the back of his head.
Damn. My man is sexy as fuck.
“Anything,” I say, hopping up onto one of the bar stools. “I’m famished. Our morning workout took a lot outta me.”
He shoots me a wicked grin over his shoulder, and I feel heat rush to my cheeks.
Last night’s confession still feels surreal—telling Jax I love him, only to have him say it back—deepening our connection in a way I hadn’t expected.
After all the heartache—after erasing that line I swore I’d never cross—is it really possible to fall in love after such a short time? Or was it something I’d felt from the beginning?
From the moment I laid eyes on Jax Riley, I knew there was something different about him. Something I just couldn’t put my finger on. But at the time I chose to ignore it, telling myself I just wanted to have some fun. Get laid.
Life sure does have a funny way of knocking you on your ass, though, doesn’t it? Especially when you least expect it.
“You’re blushing,” he says, setting a carton of eggs on the counter.
“Am not.”
“Are too.” He moves to stand between my legs, hands resting on my thighs as he leans in for a kiss. “It’s cute.”
Unable to suppress my smile, I roll my eyes. “How about you get your sexy ass in gear and make breakfast?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
I watch as he moves around the kitchen, cracking eggs into a bowl and whisking them with a fork. There’s something incredibly sexy about a man cooking breakfast. Especially when that man ismine all mine.
Twenty minutes later, we’re sitting side by side at the kitchen island, giggling and touching as we feed each other when Noia and Ryder’s voices chime together from behind me. “Awww!”
Shaking his head, Jax looks at them and chuckles. “Fuck off, you two.”
“Sorry,” Noia laughs, definitely not sorry at all. “But you two are just so damn cute.”
“We’d give you some privacy,” Ryder adds as he leans against the counter and crosses his arms. “But you’re inourkitchen.”
All I can do is blush and bury my smile against Jax’s neck. “I guess we’re kinda into each other this morning.”
“Kinda?” Noia snorts, walking over to lean her butt against the kitchen island. “You two were so lost in each other’s eyes I could’ve set off fireworks and you wouldn’t have noticed.”
“Can you blame me?” Jax asks as he sits back. Eyes on me, he winks. “Last night, this woman told me she loves me.”
“About damn time,” Ryder mutters with a smirk in his voice.
