‘Me too,’ I nod, and realise that I’m not just being polite, that it’s the truth. It’s been complicated and hard and a bit scary. But I feel, I don’t know… alive? ‘Thankyoufor—’

We stand there. Seth looks at me, scratches his jaw and gives a little laugh. I laugh too. I have no idea what we are laughingabout.
