“Oh, my God. We made a huge mess.” There’s cum everywhere. On me. On him. On the comforter. We’re going to have to wash everything within a three-foot radius.

“Yeah, I think that means it was good.”

“Only good?” I ask, a bit of the insecurity from earlier seeping back in.

“Are you looking for a letter grade here? Star rating?”

I don’t know what I’m looking for. Maybe a little reassurance that he’s not having second thoughts. That he didn’t get to this part and then nope the fuck out.

Except, I don’t need him to answer that. Not really. The evidence of his enjoyment is currently cooling on his belly and my legs. It’s written all over his face, with his bright smile and droopy eyes.

“Nope. I don’t need anything else.”

“That we’re going to have to disagree on.” I raise an eyebrow at him. “We both need a shower. Urgently.”

“Lead the way.”

“You keep staring at me. Do I have something on my face?” I ask.

Chase is on one end of the couch, working through modules on his computer, and I’m on the other, catching up on some reading. It’s a familiar routine, one we started as friends and are now enjoying as more.

“Just thinking.”

“Would you like to share with the class?”

“I was just thinking about last night. The two of us. In bed.”

“What about it?” After our first time together, I worried Chase might have some sort of bisexual panic moment. It’s one thing to think about having sex with another man and another thing entirely to actually do it. He’s been surprisingly calm, though. Maybe this is the freak-out.

“Well, it seemed like maybe you were holding yourself back.”

I swallow hard.

“So I’m right? Why? I love seeing you enjoying yourself. You’re so sexy like that.”

“I didn’t want to pressure you.” I put a bookmark between the pages and set my book down on the coffee table. “And, I guess, I didn’t want to do anything that might…put you off.”

He wrinkles his brow, thinking. “Like what?”

Oh boy. That’s a loaded question. “Like ask you to penetrate me.”

“You’d let me do that? You’d let me fuck you?”

It sounds so much better when he says it. Far less clinical. “Of course. Why wouldn’t I?”

“Well, first of all, I have no idea what I’m doing.” He pauses. “Actually, that’s the whole reason.”

I can’t help but chuckle at his omission. “We can work on that.”

Chase closes his computer and sets it next to him. “That kind of studying sounds way more interesting. Let’s go.” He’s halfway to the bed before I can finish processing the information.

“Now?” Wait. What am I doing? Of course, now.

“Unless…”
