Evelyn melted at the sight of his charming smile.
“Let me make you feel good, Evelyn. Let me have you. Let me touch you.”
It’s only a dream.
“Say yes, love.”
No one will ever know.
“Yes.”
Haydn’s mouth crashed onto hers. One of his hands fisted in her hair, pulling the curls at the back of her head. His other hand gripped the front of her nightgown and ripped the fabric apart, splitting the dress open as if a talon had sliced through it.
That’s a nice talent.
The destroyed nightgown dropped off Evelyn’s shoulders. Her nipples peaked as the chilly air of the tower swept over her.
Should I feel cold in a dream?
Haydn’s hand found the soft skin between her thighs. Two fingers shoved deep inside her without warning, making Evelyn cry out in surprise.
I forgot how impatient Haydn is about touching me.
Ignoring the bookshelf digging into her back, Evelyn rocked against him while his fingers plunged in and out of her. Heat pooled low in her belly at the anticipation of more.
Haydn wrapped his other hand around her neck. “I want your screams to echo through this tower. But we need a better position for that.”
Before Evelyn could ask what he meant, a gust of wind struck them. She blinked, then screamed in fear instead of pleasure. Haydn’s magic had brought them to the highest level in the tower. They stood on a ledge that jutted about five feet out from the wall, hundreds of feet higher than they had been mere seconds ago. Evelyn backed away from the edge and settled in a gap between bookshelves. Her nakedness made her feel even more vulnerable.
A narrow window illuminated Haydn’s grin. “What’s wrong?”
“I don’t want to be up this high,” Evelyn said in a shaky voice.
She stared at the stone ledge below her feet. A very loud part of her brain was convinced it would collapse at any moment.
It’s just a dream. Even if I fall, it won’t hurt me.
But I really don’t want to fall.
“It’s like when we were on the mountain, love,” Haydn said. “I didn’t let you fall off the cliff when we saw the dragons. Trust me.”
Haydn forced her to stand mere inches from the deadly drop. She squirmed, but he held her in place.
If it’s a dream, then why can’t I change it? Or wake up?
“Let me go!” she pleaded.
“We haven’t gotten to the fun part yet.”
Evelyn shrieked as he pushed her onto her hands and knees. From that position, she could stare straight down to the bottom of the tower. She tried to scramble away, but Haydn’s grip on her hips was too strong. All she could think of was tumbling headfirst from the dizzying height.
“Haydn, please! You’re scaring me!”
“I love when you beg.”
One of Haydn’s hands left her to undo the buttons on his trousers. He exposed his hard length and pressed it to her entrance. The touch momentarily distracted Evelyn from her terror and she arched against him.
“I’m going to fuck you the way you like it until you come,” he told her. “This is a dream, so we can stay here for hours. You won’t wake up until you’re soaked and screaming my name.”
