“We can celebrate the offer and the fact that you are showing such artistic maturity.” Before I could argue further, he’d texted the other bears to meet us at a little Italian place at the other end of town. The food was delicious, the company excellent, and a couple of hours later, we were on our way home. Archer and Justice in their work truck and me in the car with Dallas.

As we pulled up in front of the house, I drew in a breath and let it out slowly. “Can I ask you something?”

“Of course. Is everything all right?” His voice held a hint of alarm, the last thing I’d intended to cause.

“Perfect. I just…could you…”

He took my hand and stroked my palm with his thumb. “Anything, omega. What do you need?”

“Would you stay in my room tonight?”

He didn’t ask if I meant sex or sleeping, just said yes because, as I’d come to learn, these males valued our time together as much as I did, and while my night with Archer had been incredible, so was dinner, sitting squished between them inthat booth, their scents wafting around me in a dizzying cloud that even garlic and pepperoni couldn’t take over.Wait, Archer!

“Will Archer mind? I mean, we…”

“No, omega. We are all your mates, you know. He will be happy for us.”

It still felt odd passing through the living room and saying good night to the others with Dallas at my side. They knew. It wasn’t hard to guess, but they each gave me a soft kiss and a smile and wished me a good night in return.

Dallas was different in bed than Archer. He was always more “grown up” than the others, but his lovemaking had a playful quality I’d never have expected. Kissing me in silly places like my elbow and knee before he knelt between my legs and stroked me, gliding fingers inside, humming in pleasure at my whimpering response. He had me so slick, I felt I would die if he didn’t take me, and quickly.

He became serious. “We have all night to make the memory of our first time together, and I won’t be rushed, mate.” He replaced his slippery fingers with the head of his cock. “Of course, nobody says it only has to be one time.”

He drove in deep and filled me. I clung to him, an ache deep inside easing as he plunged into me again and again. My orgasm came on hard and fast, darkness edging my vision. With a roar, he followed me over the edge, arms clamping tight around me, his knot swelling, locking us together.

Then, from behind my closed eyes, a sharp stab pierced my throat, marking me. Remembering the ladies in the tea shop, I returned the favor, above his collarbone where everyone would see.

Mine.

Chapter Twenty

Dallas

I woke up but stayed in bed, not moving, not wanting to fully wake up, loving the way my world felt so complete.

She chose me. She marked me as hers.

I hadn’t fully understood how Archer felt wearing her mark until this moment.

I closed my eyes, loving the warmth of her body against mine, not wanting to be the one to move first, to wake her and break the magic spell surrounding us.

Previously, I’d wake up, knowing she was here, the day happier than any that preceded it. But this was different. She was in bed with me. I didn’t have to wonder what she was doing or if she needed anything. I could see it for myself. I wanted to start every day like this one.

I wasn’t greedy. Justice and Archer could be with us, too. As long as she was there with us.

Bonnie shifter her weight slightly. She’d be waking up soon. I moved just enough to get a look at her face, hoping I didn’t wake her prematurely. My bear stirred as I saw her mark. He wanted to be the one snuggling with her in bed. I was pretty sure that wasn’t something she’d been wanting—his hair getting stuck on her sheets and his musky scent everywhere, but maybe outside in the sun one day. Because we had lots of days ahead of us. This wasn’t one night, one week, or one year. This was always, forever.

Mine.

Yes, she’s ours.

Last night, she chose me. I didn’t push. There were so many times I wanted to ask her to be mine, but she hadn’t had manychoices in life, and I refused to take one as important as this from her.

My bladder told me I wasn’t staying in bed any longer. Despite wanting to be by her side, I slipped out, closing the door behind me. I wouldn’t be going back in there this morning. Entering her space without express permission, even if I had just left, felt like an invasion. So instead, after I cleaned up, I decided to make breakfast.

Archer caught me taking out the eggs. “Why would you do that?”

“I want to feed our omega.” Wasn’t that obvious?
