“I love you,” she whispered, encouraging him to take what she freely offered. “I want this, Obsidian.”

He groaned, his hand tightening on her neck.

She stilled when she felt his fangs, a hint of fear running through her.

He pulled back suddenly, clearly sensing her emotions.

This time, Penelope gripped his head, pulling him toward her as she leaned in again. “Now, Obsidian.”

She inhaled sharply when his fangs brushed her skin, a second later piercing her.

There was only a prickle of pain, an exquisite euphoria following quickly on its heels. An inexplicable desire bloomed throughout her entire body, and she came as he drank from her, her body melting against him. Ecstasy unlike anything she’d ever felt consumed her, dragged her under. He growled low in his throat as he sucked at her neck for what felt like eternity. She could feel his need for more, but his self-control overruled his thirst. His tongue caressed her once, twice.

When Obsidian pulled her mouth back to his, he was gentle, sucking her tongue before kissing her deeply, thoroughly. His hands moved to her hips, guiding her forward, back. Penelope moaned, once more overcome with emotion, unable to get enough. His lips moved, trailing over her jaw, down her chest. He sucked one nipple into his mouth, his teeth nipping, pain dancing erotically over her skin.

His hand fisted in her hair once more, this time pulling her head all the way back, her chest thrusting forward. She flattened her hands behind her, gripping his thighs to maintain her balance as he propelled his hips upward, distracting her when he sucked her nipple between his teeth, then bit down.

She came again, crying out his name as the orgasm surprised her.

“One more,” he growled, rolling them both until he was over her, pushing her into the cushion as his hips swiveled, then jerked.

He hammered into her, his hands finding hers, lifting them over her head. He transferred one so that he held her captive with one hand, his other snaking between their bodies. When he thumbed her clit, Penelope screamed, another orgasm cresting, knocking the air from her lungs.

And when Obsidian threw back his head and roared, his cock pulsing deep inside her, Penelope gave herself over to him.

Mind, body, soul.

Completely and utterly at his mercy.

From now until eternity.

Chapter Twenty-One

ECLIPSEHADCONSIDEREDNOTGOINGOUTWITHthe others even though it had originally been his idea. Right up until he heard Obsidian and Penelope going at it in the third-floor living room. At that point, he figured it was more a means of survival than anything else. The last thing he wanted was to endure the sexual energy that billowed through the mansion when those two came together. He was having a hard enough time, thank you very much.

Luckily, he’d gotten out of there before that happened.

“And what exactly made you decide this was a good idea?” Taayin muttered as they stepped into the overcrowded club, the one that clearly had more occupants than real estate.

Part of him wished he’d left the grouchylieterraback at the mansion. The male was in a mood tonight, and since Eclipse was, too, it likely wouldn’t fare well for either of them.

“Why don’t you grab a drink,” Eclipse insisted, making his way to the bar, desperate to leave them all behind.

When he’d made the suggestion of a night out, he’d intended to slip out of the mansion with Søren in tow. Plans changed when Gryffyth got wind of the outing. Next thing Eclipse knew, Gryffyth had invited every male and female in the house. At some point, word must’ve gotten out, because Asmia and Ziana had turned up, as did Acadia and Elina, the Fae as eager to get their drink on as they were.

So, here they were, making a night of it.

Truth was, Eclipse wasn’t here for a drink or a party. He was hoping to get a lead on hisamsouelot. Not that he figured she’d be here after the tragic incident she’d endured a few days ago. Still, hope sprung eternal.

“What can I get you, handsome?” the blond bartender asked, her steady brown eyes surveying him as he stepped up to the bar.

“Scotch, neat.”

She gave an assessing nod. “Coming right up.”

When she walked away to do her thing, Eclipse surveyed the jam-packed club. Not his usual choice for a watering hole, but since there weren’t many options in Telluride, he figured this would have to do. The populace seemed younger, more energetic. Between the strobe lights and the noise disguised as music, his senses were bombarded from all angles. Not even the dark shades helped much.
