Brantley didn’t believe her, but he wasn’t going to argue anymore. Especially since Baz was helping her to her feet.

Reese was proud of Brantley.
After Baz left with JJ, he pretended he wasn’t completely distracted by thoughts of her. He even managed to relax once he finally received a call from Wes letting them know they were admitting JJ, but the doctor said she wasn’t in active labor. Not yet, anyway. Reese wasn’t sure whether that meant she would be soon or they were doing something to head it off at the pass, but he figured he would get the answer if and when Wes called again.
“You do know it’s customary for us to leave first,” Brantley whispered in his ear as they sat at their table.
“Is it now?”
“Yep.”
“Are you sayin’ you wanna leave?”
“Yep.”
Reese grinned. Always right to the point.
“And where would you like to go?”
“Home.”
“And do what? Watch TV?”
Brantley leaned in, his breath fanning Reese’s neck. “Yeah. Let’s watch TV.”
Reese’s breath caught from Brantley’s seductive tone. “What would you like to watch?”
“Anything where you’re naked.”
“Hmm. Not sure I’ve—Heads up. Z’s on his way over here.”
Brantley sat up straight, looking poised as ever as Z approached the table, his husband beside him.
“We’re here to make you go home,” Z said without pretense.
RT laughed, elbowing Z. “We are not.”
“You said we can’t go home untiltheygo home. Therefore, theyneedto go home.” Z was speaking out of the side of his mouth, not bothering to whisper, eyes slightly narrowed at Reese.
RT rolled his eyes. “We’re actually here because Z got y’all somethin’.”
Reese frowned.
“It’s nothin’ special,” Z told them. “You can look at it tomorrow. Tonight, you—”
“Just give it to them,” RT said sternly.
Z huffed and reached into the pocket of his pants. He produced an envelope.
“Since JJ sprung for the bachelor party, we wanted to take care of the honeymoon.” Z nodded toward the envelope as he passed it to Reese.
“Honeymoon?” Brantley sounded incredulous.
“Don’t worry. There aren’t any eggplant T-shirts or trucker hats,” RT assured them.
Reese opened the envelope and pulled out a sheet of paper.
