“Tomorrow,” Brantley whispered when Reese looked down at him. “You’ll be my husband tomorrow.”

Reese’s smile was slow and so damn sweet Brantley swore something ripped in his chest. It was his heart. It had never been quite as full as it was now. Which was a sappy thing to think, but he honestly didn’t fucking care. He loved this man. He would do anything for Reese. Hell, he would give his life for him.

Of course, he hoped it never came to that because he wanted to spend the next sixty or seventy—yes, he was ridiculously optimistic—years with him, waking up just like this, spending the day with him as they went through the motions. Together.

“And I know exactly what I’m gonna say,” Reese said, his eyes full of love.

Brantley went stone still.

Sonuvabitch. Vows.

He hadn’t written his vows.

Shit.

Reese’s eyebrow popped, and his expression instantly shifted from sweet to bemused. “You haven’t written your vows.”

It wasn’t a question, but Brantley shot him his bestof course I havelook.

Reese didn’t fall for it, huffing as he rolled off of him. “We have to tell JJ.”

Brantley laughed, grabbing Reese before he could get out of bed. He pinned him down with his body, straddling his hips and caging Reese’s head with his arms.

“I swear to you, I’ll know exactly what I’m gonna say when I meet you at that altar.”

Reese swallowed. “And if you don’t?”

“Tomorrow will be perfect,” Brantley assured him. “And remember, perfect is a relative term. It’ll be perfect for us. I won’t let you down.”

Reese’s eyes widened. “You could never let me down. Even if—”

Brantley heard how he choked the words out, so he put a finger over his lips. “I love you. And tomorrow, I will be marrying you while all our family and friends stand around and gawk at us. If I choke, I choke, but I promise you, I will do my best to make it the most memorable day.”

Reese cupped his face. “As long as you’re there, it already will be.”

Brantley grinned. “Okay, enough of the sappy shit. We do have things to do today, and we should start by takin’ Tesha for a run.” He nodded back over his shoulder. “She’s gettin’ antsy.”

Reese peeked around him and laughed, probably because Tesha had her front paws on Brantley’s back. Her tail was wagging so hard that her body shook, making the mattress vibrate.

Before Brantley could move off of him, Reese caught his attention. “We’ll have to tell JJ about the rings at the rehearsal dinner.”

“I know.”

“But maybe we look one more time before then?”

Brantley laughed. They’d uncovered every hidden speck of dust in the house. The rings weren’t there, but if it would put Reese’s mind at ease, he would search a dozen more times. However, he wasn’t above bargaining.

“Provided you give me a blow job in the shower,” he said with a smirk.

Reese’s eyes flashed hot. “Only if you make breakfast.”

Brantley laughed, shifting off of him. “Fine.I’llgiveyoua blow job in the shower.”

“Works for me.”

An hour later, Brantley knew their morning plans were about to go off the track.

“Looks like you’ll have to take a rain check for that blow job,” Brantley muttered as they jogged up the driveway toward the house.
