Adrenaline rushed through her veins. Wetting her lips, she watched him unbuckle his leather belt. He tossed it onto the bed beside her, followed quickly by his trousers and his shirt.
“Your turn,” he murmured as she drank in the sight of him. Already, his shaft was hard and throbbing, and as eager for her as she was for him. Shuddering, she pushed up onto her elbows and tugged her tunic over her head. Lorcan slid his hands up her thighs, his fingers teasing the waistband of her trousers. Desire flashed through her.
Slowly, almost agonizingly so, he slipped his fingers into her trousers and tugged them down past her toes. Eyes sparking with heat, he tossed the clothes aside and leaned toward her. She smiled and reached up to wrap her arms around his neck, but he skimmed his fingers along her hips and flipped her over.
She bounced on the bed, delicious surprise tightening her core. “Well, that was unexpected.”
“I love you, Reyna Darragh.” He climbed on top of her from behind, his hard length teasing her backside. Leaning down, he caressed her neck with his lips, kissing her so deeply that she moaned.
“Tell me you want me,” he growled.
“I want you,” she gasped, arching her back when his tongue slipped across her ear. Tremors of pleasure stormed through her. Her body rocked against his.
His hand slid between them, his fingers dragging across the wetness that coated her thighs. Cheek pressed against the bed, Reyna shuddered. Need filled her head, drowning out everything else. All she could focus on was his hand. His mouth on her ear. His cock so tantalizingly close to her core.
“I want you to scream my name.” His teeth skimmed along her ear as his deep voice caressed her very soul. “I want you to be a writhing mess when I’m done with you.”
“Please,” she whispered.
The weight of his body vanished. Cool air whipped across her back as his fingers dug into her skin. He lifted her hips from the bed, angling her toward him. With a guttural groan, he plunged inside of her. Her whole body went tight. She gasped, her hands fisting around the sheets.
Tiny stars danced in her vision as he slowly rocked his hips back and then slid into her slick walls once more.
“My god, Reyna.” His fingers dug into her flesh as he thrusted harder, his shaft filling her until his body collided with hers. “You have no idea what you to do me.”
She had a pretty damn good idea because he was doing the exact same thing to her.Nothinghad ever felt this good. Not even winning a battle could compare to this.
Love soothed the frayed edges of her soul as their bodies came together. His thrusts grew faster and deeper. Her pleasure mounted until all she could do was hold on to the sheets and cry out as her climax ripped through her.
He came seconds later, and the sound of his roar echoed into the night. They curled up on the bed, limbs tangled together, her head on his chest. Her heart still beating hard, she nuzzled in close and basked in the scent of him.
Leather. Smoke. Steel. All the things she loved.
“I suppose these are our new quarters now,” she said with a laugh full of lightness. So light she was shocked to hear it from herself.
“Indeed,” he murmured with a low chuckle, dropping a gentle kiss on her forehead. “And you’ll be happy here in the Wood Court?”
She let out a heavy breath. “You’re here.”
“I mean it, Reyna.” He shifted so that he could gaze down at her with those midnight eyes. “I want you to be happy. This isn’t your kingdom. These aren’t your people. Hell, I’m not your king.”
“It doesn’t have to be that way,” she said in a small voice. She’d been pondering over an idea these past few days. And she wasn’t sure how Lorcan would react to it.
“What do you mean?”
“I’m an ice fae, but that doesn’t mean I have to remain a part of the Ice Court. I could…join yours instead.”
“Reyna.” He sat up, cradling her in his arms. He stared at her with an intensity that made her heart shake in her chest. Brushing her hair out of her eyes, he searched her face. “You can’t mean that. You love the ice.”
“I love you more.”
He sucked in a rattling breath. “You can’t mean that.”
“I do.” She palmed his cheek, gazing up at him. Suddenly, she’d never been more certain of anything in her life. “I pledge fealty to you, Lorcan Rothach. I want to be by your side always. I want to join your kingdoms.”
Light danced in his eyes when he smiled. “Not my kingdoms, Reyna.Ours.”
