We had a shower together when we woke up, and he took good care of me.He washed my body and hair.

My hair.I didn’t know men do that shit in real life.He made me feel like a total princess.

Who is this man?

He’s so different from what I thought he would be, and in a good way.I guess my gut instinct was right about him, even though, at first, when I heard the girls speak about him, they made him sound scary and kind of an asshole.

“How did the sweetest one of us end up with the scariest?”she murmurs, flashing me her dimples.“Does this mean you’re going to move in?How does your cat feel about dogs?”

“I don’t know, he hasn’t really been around any.Why?”

“Just asking,” she replies, her blue eyes dancing with amusement.“He keeps looking over to make sure you’re okay. What does he think I’m going to do?”

“He’s probably just feeling a little possessive because we finally…” I trail off.

Her eyes widen.“You made him wait this whole time? You are my hero.I didn’t even last an hour.”

We both burst out laughing, garnering attention from all the men.

Ghost brings my plate and a glass of orange juice over and places them in front of me.“Thank you.Aren’t you going to eat?”

“I’ll grab something after,” he replies, watching me take my first bite.

“So what did we miss last night?”

There are a few amused glances, but I don’t dig any deeper when Ghost puts his hand on my thigh under the table.

I meant what I said.I’m glad I waited for him to be my first. He made it so good for me, and it wasn’t awkward at all.

It was perfect.Just like he keeps telling me I am.Honestly, my ego is going to be bigger than my ass with the way he keeps complimenting me.

Prez sits down and eyes the two of us.“Nice to see you both looking so happy.”

“They sounded happy last night.”Suit smirks, taking a sip of coffee.“Very happy.”He pauses, and then adds, “My room is next to Ghost’s now.”

I can tell everyone wants to laugh, but they try to contain it, probably because Ghost is staring daggers at Suit.“Well, I’ve heard and seen most of you, so I figured it was my time to shine.”

Suit throws his head back and laughs.“That’s right, Xanthe. You know there’s no judgment here.Sometimes it makes it even hotter knowing people are around or listening.”

He winks, then turns to Ora, who is frowning at him.“Stop talking while you’re ahead.”

“What?”he asks, shrugging.“When the pussy is good, not even King Arthur would be able to pull out.”

I choke on my orange juice, and Ghost quickly rubs my back.“My old lady chokes, I’ll be choking you next, fucker.”

“I thought you would have gotten your anger all out last night,” Suit can’t help but add, and Ghost quickly stands up, his chair falling back.

“Ghost, Zade is here,” I remind him, thinking of the baby.“If you want to fight him, take it to the ring.”

Surprised eyes land on me.I shrug.“What, I’ve been around here long enough to see how things work.”

Ghost’s hands land on my shoulders, massaging gently for a few moments before he sits back down.

I notice their prez staring at me with both interest and concern, and when Ghost gets up to head back into the kitchen, he speaks to me in a low tone.“I’ve never seen anyone talk him down like that.He usually needs to fight or get dragged out of here.”

“I’ve never heard him speak so much,” Suit adds, tapping his finger on the table.“He normally mutters a few words, grunts, and leaves.”

My brow furrows.“Maybe he just doesn’t want to talk to you.”
