Finally, he spoke through clenched teeth.

He slowly took one step toward her.

“Since you want a divorce so badly…”

His eyes locked onto hers coldly.

“I’ll have my secretary send the divorce papers to you.”

As he said those words, Elias strode toward her.

His movements were fast and sharp.

Before Amara could react, he grabbed her wrist firmly.

The warmth of his palm wrapped around her skin roughly as he thrust the glass of water back into her hand with obvious anger.

Water immediately splashed out from the glass, spilling over her fingers and dripping onto the marble floor.

The cold water scattered across the ground between them. But neither of them looked down at it.

Elias released her wrist abruptly before turning around without another word. His expression was dark and furious as he stormed off.

Heavy footsteps echoed through the mansion before the sound of the front door slammed loudly through the silent house.

Then he disappeared from her sight completely. The living room instantly fell into silence again.

Amara simply stood there silently, still holding the glass while watching his figure disappear from her sight.

Drops of water slowly slid down from her fingers onto the floor.

There was no sadness in her expression anymore.

Only indifference.

But strangely… no pain.

Not anymore.

She slowly lowered her gaze toward the glass in her hand.

Then casually loosened her fingers.

Crash—

The glass slipped from her hand and crashed violently against the floor.

It onto the marble floor and shattered instantly, broken pieces scattering everywhere.

The sharp sound echoed through the empty mansion.

Her face remained calm and emotionless as she muttered coldly,

“Since this marriage is already over…”

She slowly lifted her eyes toward the doorway Elias had just walked through.

“There’s no reason for me to keep obeying you anymore.”
