“You won’t do shit,” the same one spit.

“I only need one to confess. Who was on top of the girl?” Hawke pointed to the one with the most facial damage and a smart mouth. “Perfect.” I ran my dagger down his face, breaking the skin along his jawline.

“F-fuck y-you,” he stuttered, his bloody spit hitting my face.

I loved when they didn’t give in. It made it so much more fun. “Make sure his buddy watches,” I told Hawke. “Men who hurt women don’t deserve to walk the Earth.”

In one swift motion, my dagger was planted into his cock, and he screamed. I glanced over at his friend, who looked at the scene with wide eyes before I twisted the blade. He let out a guttural cry before I pulled it out and buried the knife into his jugular. His eyes grew wide, and blood poured over my hand. I heard his friend scream and thrash against his restraints.

Watching the life drain from their eyes brought me immense bliss, knowing I rid the world of one more vile human. His head fell forward and his body went limp as I removed the blade from his neck, a spray of crimson hitting me before I stepped to the other man.

His eyes were wide. He was trying to hide his fear with his snarl, but I could see straight through him. “Are you going to be dumb like your friend, or are you going to tell me?”

“Fuck you!”

That was a mistake.

I gripped his jaw, forcing his mouth open and pressing the blade down on his tongue, letting him taste his friend. He struggled against me, but it was his mistake as the edge of my blade slit the side of his mouth into a half Glasgow smile. Pitiful, but at least it wasn’t his tongue. After all, I still needed him to talk. I’d just have to move on to more drastic measures.

“Well, that’s unfortunate there. I guess we have to give you matching cuts to even it out.” I opened his mouth and slit his other cheek higher than the first. The man screamed and thrashed, trying to kick me away, but Hawke grabbed him and forced him still. “Who do you work for?”

He refused to answer, which was fine. Torture was fun, and I loved seeing men squirm from pain. “Boss,” Hawke called out to me, directing my attention to the tattoo behind his ear. “Scorpion.”

I walked to the body of his friend and grip his left ear, seeing the same small scorpion tattoo. The Sterling Heights Scorpions. The territory was forty minutes southeast from Westhaven. I never had issues with Carlos, and his men knew what happened if I caught wind of anyone attempting to rape another person. “Carlos knows better.”

“That bitch and her panties were our ticket in. Carlos is a bitch. There’s a new leader and new rules,” the man finally spat.

“And he’ll die just like you two.” I dragged the dagger slowly across his neck, shredding his carotid artery and windpipe as he gurgled before his body went limp. “Clean this mess. I’m going to pay Carlos a visit and kill his traitor since he’s incapable.”

I walked away from the bodies, slowly undoing my white button up shirt as I made my way back upstairs, pulling the sticky material away from my skin. When I got to the top, Fallonwas waiting up there with a warm towel in her hands. Her eyes found my chest and she licked her lips.

“Down, girl,” I told her. “You’d think after the rampage Hawke went on with your cunt, you’d be sore for a few days.”

She rolled her eyes, handing me the towel. “Dick and tongue are two different things, Blaizey baby.”

“No. Where’s the girl?”

“Doc is checking her out. She’s been unconscious since she’s been here. Hawke said something about an infected wound she had, but I didn’t catch much. She’s in the infirmary.”

I nodded and headed that way, making a detour to my office two doors down. I stepped into the bathroom, quickly washing the blood from my body before changing into clean jeans and a fresh, black button up.

When I stepped out of the office, Hawke was waiting for me in fresh clothes as well with his knuckles poorly bandaged. The two of us walked to the infirmary where we found Doc checking her vitals. He was so focused on the girl, that he didn’t even glance up as we walked into the room.

“Kadence Hayes.”

Hawke looked at me confused. “How do you know her name?”

I glowered toward the girl unconscious in the bed. “Our friend Ricky has been hiding her under our nose this whole time. When I paid him a visit today, she was working the tables in that ugly yellow uniform. She’s been here for two weeks.”

“Ricky is a sleazy motherfucker. She’s hot, so who knows what he intended to do with her once she got comfortable. I’m surprised that girl was still kickin’,” Hawke commented.

“Why?”

Doc answered my question, “She has a nasty blood infection. Looks like she had surgery not too long ago for her spleen. I’ve removed plenty of spleens and stitched up plenty of injuriesover the years,” he continued. “and she received some kind of penetrating injury. Now, whether it was shrapnel from a car accident or even a stab wound, I couldn't tell you.”

“Is she gonna live?”

“Luckily, yes. She's heavily sedated and on a strong antibiotic.”
