“Can I see your post?” I asked, slowly lifting myself up on his chest. I could still take a nap, but I was bouncing back.

“Sure.”

The picture on his screen was him and me. Tucked beneath his chin, hair wild, face partially hidden as he held me to his chest. All you could see of him was his mouth, smiling gently. It was clear we were both naked, but it was a fantastic picture. My eyes teared a little. Looking at this picture made me feel loved. I didn’t know how to explain that, but it did.

When your Omega comes to surprise you before your competition. No matter what happens tomorrow, I’ve already won.

The likes and comments poured in while I watched. Some were full of hearts andawws, some were filled with jealousy, both the good and the gross kind.

I clicked on my name where he’d tagged me. It hadn’t even been an hour since we posted those photos, and my follower count was up bythousands. “This is going to be weird.”

“Don’t worry,” Logan said. “None of us have people trying to sneak into hotel rooms or anything like that. We’re not famous enough. And if someone tried?”

I looked up in time to see the look of distaste on his face. It made me laugh. “Good.”

We sat up slowly, and I slid off the bed, landing between his knees. “I hope we’re not throwing off your plans by being here.”

“Other than the competition, I didn’t have any plans. We can make some now, though. And did the others know you weren’t wearing underwear beneath your clothes?

I pressed my lips together. “Theo gave me a packing list. I got everything. It told me to wear some comfortable clothes. It didn’t say anything about underwear.”

Logan snorted a laugh and shook his head. “Brooks is right. You are a brat.”

“But you guys like that. Right?”

Both hands came around my face as he pulled me up to kiss me. And kissed me and kissed me and kissed me. He cradled my head as he looked at me. “We love it, wildfire. We love it so much. Now get dressed before I pin you to this bed again.”

I got to my feet and turned, showing him my ass with a pop in my hip. “You say that like it’s a bad thing.” He lunged, and I danced out of his reach to grab my clothes. I had them on before he could reach me. “Too slow.”

Logan just smiled and shook his head. “You’re going to get yourself into trouble.”

“Yeah.” I flipped my hair over my shoulder. “But you like that too.”

“Yeah,” he winked. “I do.”

CHAPTER FORTY-TWO

TRINITY

“I’m really glad he looks like a highlighter,” I said.

Theo laughed next to me where we sat on towels, watching the surfers compete. “He does, a bit.”

The color Logan had been assigned for the day was an orange so bright he looked a bit like a traffic cone. The shirt also made him really easy to spot in the water, which was good.

He gave me a crash course in surf scoring this morning before we came. I wasn’t totally sure how it worked other than that there were groups, there was a raised platform with a couple of tables of judges who scored the groups.

The competition started pretty early, and the guys had a couple of pictures of me falling asleep on Bastian’s chest in between Logan’s competition groups.

This was the last group before the final, so if he did well here, he had a chance to win. I didn’t know what I was looking for, but watching him work the waves in comparison to the other surfers made it clear how good he was.

There was a cart rolling down the beach selling drinks. “I’m going to grab something from the cart if anyone wants anything.”

Aiden pulled out his wallet and handed me money. I stared at the bills in his hand and then at him. “I have money.”

“I don’t find that necessary at the moment.”
