“I was just playing with your ass. Nobody going to cheat on you. That shit don’t even cross my mind,” I let her know.

“Tell me anything, Dominique,” she replied to me, and I just chuckled.

“Ari, what’s good?” I asked, knowing that her cousin was in the car with her, and that she was the one driving.

“Hey Dolo,” she said.

“Where ya’ll going?” I asked Ari.

“To the mall. Spend some money,” Ari let me know.

“Aight. Bean, we not working tonight. Ima pick you up, and we going to take a quick road trip,” I said to her.

“A road trip where?” she wanted to know.

“Pensacola,” I said, and when I said it, her eyebrows raised as if she was confused.

“What’s in Pensacola?” she inquired.

“I got a location on your boy,” I was short with my response. I didn’t have to go deep into it because I knew that she was going to already know who I was referring to.

I saw the lightbulb go off in her head, and she smiled.

“Oooh. What time are we leaving?” she wanted to know.

“This afternoon. Around 3, so be ready. Handle your business with your cousin. I got shit to handle on my end as well. Ima get a small compact car from Kent, and we’ll put that on the road,” I shared the details with her, and she assured me that she was going to be at the house, ready to go.

We didn’t talk too much about it over the phone, but I’m sure once I got around her, she was going to have a bunch of questions for me to answer. The main thing that she was going to want to know is how I’d gotten his location.

“Aight. Tell me some shit that I want to hear before I hang the phone up,” I was on her ass, putting her on the spot in front of her cousin.

“You always trying to embarrass me,” she whined, and I smiled, loving when she would do that shit.

“It take a second to tell me something sweet before we hang the phone up, Bean. You’re the one that’s dragging this shit out,” I shot, picking my phone up, and holding it in my hand now.

Originally, it had been in my lap. Now, I was at a red light, and a train was getting ready to come by, so I had a couple of minutes to sit here and talk my shit with her.

“I love you. Be safe,” she said, and I could hear Ari in the back saying, ‘aww’, which had Riot hitting her, telling her to stop.

“What else?” I asked, wanting to hear some more. When I said that, she laughed, and I knew that laugh was code for her letting me know that I was getting on her fuckin nerves.

“Your my favorite person in the world,” that shit got me. Had me cheesing like a motha fucka too.

I could hear Ari in the background, talking shit, saying how she thought that she was Riot’s favorite person in the world.

“Aight. One more,” I went on, and she did that thing where she rolled her eyes at me again.

“Drive safe, Dolo. You gotta come back home to me. Can I hang up now? After you just embarrassed the shit out of me,” she said, and I laughed at her theatrics.

“Go ahead, baby. I love you too. Your my favorite person in the world too. You know Ima always come back home to you,” I had a response for all the nice shit that she said to me over the phone. I got a smile out of her, lighting up at the things that I said to her over the phone.

After that, we were able to hang up. Shit was sweet right now, but in a few more hours, it was going to get deadly. I was going to take my baby to go kill.

Most women would light up, knowing that they were en route to the mall for a shopping spree or some shit. Not Riot. My baby lights up when I take her on missions. Missions to handle her fuckin business. It was only right that she got her lick back for what that bitch ass cop did to her daddy.
