“She got her anger management session this morning. Her ass already been missing too many days. Luckily, the counselor that she has is cool as fuck, so she don’t be reporting her ass. She left a message for her yesterday though, telling her that if she missed today, she was going to tell the judge on her, and she was going to be back in jail. I heard that message, and I made her ass go today. I told her that she can’t miss any more days, either. She be thinking that she can do what the fuck she wanna do,” I went on, and Loco laughed, as we walked into the building.
“Listen to you, nigga. Uzi told me that you told her you running shit over there. You feel like anger management working for her?” he inquired.
“It really just depends. Her ass still nutty in my opinion. I told you how she broke my fuckin glasses. I think that night, I just pushed her too far though. Shit, it might be working because when that video leaked of her in jail, getting beat on like that, I just knew that she was going to be on a killing spree. Then, I think about the shit that happened last week at my parents’ house, when she was face to face with the nigga that killed her pops. Then again, I don’t really know, Loco. I feel she would have killed that nigga right there if I didn’t pull her back, and remove her from the situation, so I can’t say if it’s working or not” I was honest.
Loco knew about last week’s situation because I told him.
“Anger management probably working though. She could have still found a way to pop him, but she didn’t,” he said.
“I think the only reason she didn’t do it is because of the cameras. He got cameras swamped all over his home. I’m going to find a way for her to get at him though. Just gotta play it smart. That ain’t the kind of nigga that you can just freely kill, and go on like nothing happened,” I was honest with what I said, and Loco nodded his head, agreeing with me.
We made it over to the elevator, taking it up to the 19thfloor, where Trevor’s business was located. The entire 19thfloor was dedicated to his business. There was a receptionist that was up front, and Loco was the one to walk over, and let her know that we were here to see Trevor.
I watched her as she picked up the phone, put a call in, letting Trevor know that we were here. Once she hung up, she told us to just wait one minute, and that he would be out to get us.
We found the lobby area, where we sat down, and before I could fully read the company’s missions statement that wasstamped on the wall and take in all the pictures that were hung up, a black man came over, and when Loco smiled, and stood up, I already knew that this was Trevor.
Trevor looked like he could come out of this tight ass suit that he was wearing right now, throw on a football uniform, and be the best linebacker in the league by Sunday. Not even on no gay shit, but this nigga was huge. Big, broad shoulders, thick ass arms that were evident in that tight ass suit, and his thighs looked like straight muscle. He had a bald head, and I swear even his head had muscle in it. I needed him to be on call for when my company started up because he looked like the kind of person that would put a nigga down on his head if he got out of line. I only wanted niggas that were built like him to be working for me.
“Look at you, nigga! I keep telling you every time I see you that you need to get a bigger size in these fuckin suits. I know your nuts gotta be screaming man,” Loco talked shit to Trevor, and I laughed because I swear I had been thinking the same thing.
“Yeah, whatever man. The hoes ain’t complaining. I bet I get more pussy than you,” Trevor shot back to Loco, who started laughing.
“My nigga, I can assure you that you don’t get more pussy than me. I got married pussy at home. I fuck at least five times a day, and that’s on a bad day. You don’t want to know the number on a good day,” Loco went on to say.
I’m thinking that Trevor was going to be this professional ass nigga, that was probably stuck up, but he was cool. Watching him, and Loco stand here and talk shit about each other had me cracking up.
When they eventually finished, that’s when I stood up, and I walked over to them.
“Trev, this my lil cousin Dominique. We all call him Dolo though,” Loco stated, doing the introductions.
“How you doing, Dolo? I’m Trevor. You can call me Trev,” he said, reaching his hand out, so that I could shake it.
I did just that, and then he led the way, showing us to his office. On the way, he offered us something to drink, or some of the snacks that were in the break room, but both Loco, and I let him know that we were fine.
We were eventually in his office, and his office made mine look like shit. Granted, my office back at the warehouse was just as big as his, but I never really put the work in to have it look like something, you know? It was just a desk, and a couch over on the other side. Meanwhile, this nigga’s office looked like some shit out of a Pinterest board. Nigga had charcoal walls, a dark wood desk, those beautiful floor to ceiling windows, that showed a nice view of the waterfall. All his certificates, and other accomplishments were hung up in frames. I didn’t see any family pictures on his desk, and judging by the way he just bragged about all the pussy he gets, I’m assuming that he was a single man.
“Ya’ll can have a seat right here,” Trevor let us know, pointing at the two seats that were in front of his desk.
Loco and I took our seats, while Trevor sat in his office chair. He scooted closer to the desk, folding his arms, and he looked at me. I knew that we were about to get into everything right now.
“So, what’s up Dolo? What we doing? Fill me in a little bit about your plan,” he started, getting right into it with me.
“I’m trying to start up my own private security company. I don’t want to take all the credit for it. My girl put the bug in my ear, telling me that she thinks this would be a good avenue for me, and since then, it’s really all that I’ve been thinking about. When I do shit, I try to make it different from other niggas around me that’s doing it. I don’t want my company to mimicanything that’s already out here being done. I want to oversee big spaces, like luxury boutiques, jewelry stores, strip clubs, private events, celebrities. All kind of shit like that,” I shared with him, and he nodded his head, following where I was going with this.
“You going to own it and make this something legit, or you feel like this going to be something that you just do for fun? I gotta ask that because I’ve sat in spaces before with a lot of young niggas that come to me with these grand ideas, but they aren’t willing to follow through with it and actually put in the work. You’re not the first person to come to me and tell me that they want to start up a security company. Niggas will say all this and then go on and hire their homeboys that don’t know shit about securing anything. They’ll throw a little logo on them and call it a security business, when the whole time, all that’s going to be is a liability,” he responded, and it was harsh, but I respected it.
He didn’t know me from a can of paint, so he didn’t know if I was going to be serious about it or not.
“Nah man. I want to do shit the right way. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have made time for this meeting. I’m at a point in my life right now where I’m thinking bigger. Shit, the money is good where I’m at. It’s no complaints, but I want money coming in from different ways, you feel me? I want to have something solid up under my belt. I like standing back and watching the seeds that I plant grow. I’m in strip clubs a lot. I like to buy flashy jewelry. Being in these spaces, I know how important it is to have top-of-the-line security. I want to offer that,” I explained, and you could tell that I was winning him over because he smiled, nodding, listening to me speak.
“Aight. Let me go over a few things with you first,” Trevor responded, and like I was hungry for this shit, I pulled my phoneout, went to my notes, so that I could type in the things that he was getting ready to say.
Riot wasn’t here, so I was taking notes for her too. I wanted to be able to report back and share all the insight with her that I learned today in this meeting.
Once Trevor saw how serious I was about it, that’s when the informing began. He gave me all the insights that I was going to need to start up a successful private security company, and what I was going to need for it to remain successful. We talked about business licensing, contracts, permits, basically all the shit that Loco had already told me that I was going to have to learn about.
The biggest thing that he kept pushing with me was liability. I felt like he was pushing that so hard because niggas will create these kinds of businesses and give them to their homeboys that didn’t have any kind of experience, which would cause the business to crumble. Even though this was new for me, I didn’t have any doubts. If I could manage damn near one hundred niggas in the drug business, I knew that this was going to be light work for me.
