“Hell yes. Fucking perfect.”
I have no idea what to say to that. Vince never came to the scent of me. If anything, it turned him off. He would hold his nose and breathe through his mouth.
But Glenn. Well, I shouldn’t compare the two. He’s so different, so much better.
My hand reaches out and strokes Glenn’s hair. He sighs loudly, and his hand moves up my stomach, making those butterflies take flight once again.
The doorbell rings, jarring me out of my reflection.
“Who’s at the door?”
“I dunno,” I say as Glenn rolls up and wipes his face clean.
He grunts, staring down at me, wetting his lips as if he wants another taste.
But I need a fucking break. This guy can’t seem to get enough of me. It’s weird. But I fucking love it.
“I’ll get it. You don’t need to move,” Glenn says, pulling on his jeans, his sexy ass disappearing behind the denim inch by inch.
I, of course, don’t listen, just follow him, pulling my clothes on as I go. My skin is still shining slightly, a twinkle in the dim light of the house.
The door swings open, and I blush when I realize the scent of me must be drifting toward the person on the other side.
“Oh, hello. You’re River’s brother, right?” a familiar voice says.
Glenn clears his throat as I move up behind him, still out of sight. “Yeah, you’re Owen, River’s friend.”
I peek around Glenn and see Owen bob his head, some of his hair flopping into his face. He pushes it back. “Yes, well, good to see you, but I have an order for Arbor. He here?”
Oh yes, right. I ordered things while drunk. Things that sounded good while out of my mind.
He holds out the bag, and I move around Glenn to take it.
“Oh, hi! Didn’t see you there,” Owen says with a grin.
“Thanks. You need to use the bathroom again?” I ask.
Owen shakes his head. “No. I’m good. Just wanted to drop this off. Thanks for the tip, too. I’m almost at my escort minimum, by the way. Not that you asked, but still.”
Glenn raises his eyebrows. “What do you mean? What escort?”
Owen sighs and meets Glenn’s stare. “You wouldn’t understand because you’re not an omega, but we sometimes need to hire an alpha to get us through our heats. It’s ridiculously expensive, though, so here I am, working a second job.”
“Shit, well, let me tip you more,” I say, fumbling with my phone.
“No, no,” Owen says, waving his hand around, but Glenn stops him, pulling out a hundred-dollar bill and placing it in his flapping fingers.
“Here. Go on. Take it.”
Owen stares down at it and blinks furiously. “Wow. This is too much.”
“Yeah, well, you’ve had to put up with River so…”
Glenn shifts on his feet, and Owen bobs his head. “You’re not wrong. He has been very annoying lately. Always showing up on my lunch break, but thank you. I appreciate it.”
Glenn nods, and then Owen glances over at me. “You have a good alpha, Arbor. See you later!”
I watch as Glenn shuts the door and locks it, turning to look at me.
