“Just so you know, you’re free to mark me anywhere, anytime.”

“I’m starting to realize that. How about we make our rounds so we can head home? I think there are a few more places I’d like to mark you.”

“Whit,” he groans, shifting between my legs. “We should be social, and you’re making me want to just hide in our apartment all the time.”

“Shouldbeing the correct term. There is noneedto be social, Caleb.”

“God, that big brain of yours turns me on. Why are you so convincing?”

“I’m part of the debate club for a reason. Do you think I might persuade you to leave now?”

He swallows and then shakes his head. “No, nope. You can’t lure me away. We have to be social for a little longer. Then we can go home, yeah? We need to check up on Sem anyway. Make sure he’s not being too much of a creeper.”

Caleb hops up, adjusting himself as he does, and then holds his hand out to me.

I’m loath to follow along, but I do, letting him drag me around the crowd of people while he chats with everyone. He makes a little small talk, mostly just leaning over to kiss me when he needs my lips on his.

“I’m glad we’re mingling,” I say dryly, and Caleb reaches out and pinches my butt.

“We’re outside, around other humans. It’s important.”

“I get enough socialization in class. I find the longer I’m alive, the less I want to be around…people.”

He rolls his eyes and huffs a laugh. “Then it’s good you have me, babe. I’ll keep you young and less cynical.”

Just as he says that, a couple I don’t recognize bump into me and giggle, and I swear I see body parts I’m not interested in ever seeing again.

“Would you like my analysis of tonight?”

“Sure. Tell me.”

“This bonfire is basically a mating ritual,” I murmur, and Caleb squeezes my hand.

“It working?” he asks and then waggles his eyebrows. “This is making you want to mate with me, huh? Admit it.”

I shift on my feet and feel like I can do nothing but admit the truth. “I’m afraid it is, Caleb.”

His eyebrows rise, and then he’s tugging me toward the car.

“Should head home then.”

I bite back a smile as Caleb rushes to grab the towel before speed walking to our escape.

“Why did you decide on pre-law?” Caleb asks, his naked body sprawled across mine. Since arriving home, I’ve made him come four times.

I’m addicted to him. It’s as simple as that.

Frankly, this isn’t something I want to talk about right after watching him beg for my cock. Still, I answer.

“I’m good at it.”

“That’s all?” he asks as he plays with my nipple. He rolls it between his fingers, tugging it lightly, and I sigh as I think over what I want to tell him. He already knows me more than anyone else. What’s one more bit of information?

I’m already fucked as it is.

“If you must know, my parents decided on it.”

“Your parents are shitheads. Shouldn’t you be the one to decide your future?”
