His sweet tangerine essence is coated in a layer of Jacob’s blood, or cum—same thing. It lights my senses on fire, making my heart race. I still can’t believe we’re sharing Jacob. It’s a fucking fantasy, all of it.
Killien pulls back gently, freeing himself from my fingers on his chin. He smiles and adjusts his hardening dick, which makes me chuckle. If we keep going, we’re gonna wake up Jacob with a cock in his mouth or something. Better let him rest. For now, at least.
“Killi?” I say softly.
“Yes, baby?”
Fuck . . . I still melt when he calls me that. I’m so weak for this man, I swear.
Clearing my throat, I try to stay focused. There’s an idea that has been roaming my mind for the past week or so. I’m not sure if he’ll agree to it right away, but I wanna give it a shot. At least to test the waters and see which will be the right way to convince him.
“Don’t you think we should start hunting again?” I attempt to offer him an angelic smile, though I’m not sure I’m pulling it off.
“You want to drink human blood?” He chuckles, raising one of his dark eyebrows.
“It’s not about the blood.”
Killien goes quiet for a few seconds, processing my words. The sight of him is almost incredible. He seems to glow as the late afternoon sun that shines through the floor-to-ceiling window hits his back. A literal ginger angel, that’s what he looks like right now.
“You sure we should get involved in all that again?” he asks.
“Well, I’m starting to feel like I’ll burst into flames if I don’t let my demons out to play . . .” I shrug, making Jacob’s head slidecloser to my armpit. His breath tickles me, but I don’t mind. “So, yeah. I need to do something with my darkness before I snap. I’m way too good when I’m with you.”
He laughs at that, taking a minute to stare at the modern black chandelier hanging from the ceiling while he ponders. “Fine, let’s start by figuring out how we’re gonna go about it.” The corners of Killien’s lips curve up softly, making my heart skip a beat.
“Yes!” I wiggle like the little brat I am, waking up Jacob in the process. I’m too excited to care, though. “You’re the best, Killi, always sacrificing yourself for me.”
“I don’t sacrifice myself.” Killien shakes his head while his hand cups my cheek. “I do what I have to do to keep you safe—to make sure my perfect little brother stays perfect.”
I almost swoon at his words.
He thinks I’m perfect? Me? The manipulating brat? The bloodthirsty killer who drags him into all sorts of trouble?
“Is this conversation necessary right now?” Jacob stares at us with hooded eyes, his voice raspy. “I’d like to sleep a bit longer, if you don’t mind—the drive back to Phoenix is rather long.”
“Oh come on, Jacob,” I tease and tickle his waist. “You’re a vampire, for fuck’s sake! Who needs sleep?”
“I do,” he laughs. “You two have drained me. Seriously. You always do.”
I can see Killien’s cheeks blushing through the corner of my eye. He’s so precious, getting all flustered because of Jacob. I love that he tries to act unbothered, but I know he’s really into our new toy. He’d been wanting a taste of Jacob’s dick for months, I’m sure of it.
“Maybe we should drive you back to Phoenix, then,” I say. “There’s a little matter I should attend to there, anyway.”
“We’re not going back to Phoenix!” Killien says.
Yeah, he knows exactly what I’m talking about.Caleb, his human lover. I should find him and make sure he won’t be trying to get close to what’s mine again. It could be just a tiny little threat, or it could be his end. Who knows? I don’t care if Killien says they haven’t spoken since we moved. The human must have fallen in love with my brother anyway. How could he not?
“Well, brother, you left something behind that needs fixing,” I say.
“There’s nothing to fix, Damien. It’s over.” The fact that Killien cares about this human enrages me, but it’s also very amusing. “You should be thankful for Caleb, anyway.”
Excuse me? Thankful? For that bitch? Oh, hell no.
“Are you out of your mind, Killi?!” I grab his chin again and pull his face closer to mine, making sure it hurts. “He stole your virginity from me!”
Killien rolls his eyes, but doesn’t try to pull away. “Come on, I wasn’t a virgin. And it’s not like I was your first man either.”
“Oh, shit . . .” Jacob laughs beside me, the silky white sheets ruffling as he rests his weight on his right elbow.
