“How are you still talking,” I sigh, my fingers digging into her mouth to yank out her tongue and cut it off.

She doesn’t need it anymore, after all.

Tav gags and coughs as I drop it on the wooden floor, making me wince.

“I’ll get rid of it,” I promise. “Gonna get a little more messy before I’m done.”

“I have buckets of bleach,” Tav wheezes. “Keep going.”

“That’s my good boy,” I praise. My hands are bloody and slippery, but it doesn’t keep me from being able to reach into Kassie’s chest cavity to grab her heart.

“Enjoy your ride to hell, you fake tit, big foreheaded whore,” I snarl, cutting her heart out and squeezing it until it’s a mass of tissue and pulp.

Tav’s eyes move from my hands to her eyes, scooting closer to watch her die.

“One down,” he says, the trembling slowing.

Standing, I move over to the dickless alpha sightlessly writhing. He’s losing his sanity after hearing his sister’s screams. Perfect.

I’m done playing now. I want him dead. Raising my boot, I stomp on his head over and over until I crush it.

I want all distractions gone. I need to take care of my omega.

“Tav, baby, he’s gone,” I announce, turning toward him.

“I heard,” he says, standing with Floyd and Bella in his arms, though he lists to the side. “Floyd is fine, but he got kicked when he started barking while they were hurting me.”

“He’s a good boy,” I murmur. “Let’s set him just inside the bathroom entrance so he’ll know you’re okay. We can take Bella if you want, but you’ll need to wear a hoodie and put some pants on once you’re clean.”

Tav nods, refusing to look at the twins as he walks away from them. I wash my hands in the bathroom sink, and then pull off my clothes to shower with my omega. We have time before we have to clean up, and I need to remind him that he’s safe.

Under the spray of the water that runs over us, I hold him close.

“I could feel there was something wrong,” I tell him, kissing his forehead as he cries.

“I tried to fight…them off,” he gasps, crying again. “I was cleaning to show you how much I loved you, and I wasn’t ready.”

“I know, baby,” I rumble, purring for him as I rub his back. “None of this is your fault. What you saw today…I would never hurt you, Tav. I’m a big fucker, but?—”

It would kill me if he was afraid of me.

“You protect what belongs to you,” he says, his voice stronger than earlier.

“I do. It’s not the first time I’ve killed, and if anything comes for you ever again, it won’t be the last. I love you, and that means everything,” I say. “You’re my omega, my family.”

“I don’t have one of those,” he admits.

My heart hurts for him, and I swallow hard. Little by little, I’ll learn all about him. Now, we have time.

“You’re going to meet my dad. I’ll also take you to meet the rest of my family, and they’ll be yours too, baby. Everything I have is yours. They’ll love you.”

As my lips seal my promise, I add to that silently.

I’ll burn the world down for you, Tav. Give me your demons and I’ll help you tame them. My strength is yours.

He holds me tighter, before freezing in fear.

“What is it?”
