KENEDI:

Hey, babe, I’m not feeling too good. I think I just want to go lie down. Can we do dinner tomorrow night?

ME:

Yeah, that’s cool. Do you need me to bring you anything?

KENEDI:

No, I’m fine. I’ll call you later.

ME:

Alright, I’ll check on you in a few.

Against my better judgment, I went to the message from Logan. Just as I thought, her stupid ass was on a mission to pissme the fuck off. I think the shit got her off, and she did the shit just for that purpose alone.

LOGAN:

I need to talk to you about something important. And before you ask, yes, it’s that important. It’s about your precious little Kenedi.

A weaker man might’ve fallen for her bullshit, but not me. There wasn’t a damn thing that Logan needed to tell me about my woman. If there was something I needed to know about her, she would either tell me, or God would see fit for me to find out about it. Logan thought that using Kenedi’s name would get a response, but her ass was sadly mistaken.

LOGAN:

It’s important, Sincere. Just hear me out. You’re going to want to know about this. It has to do with her and Ray.

Instead of allowing her to send me even more bullshit, I muted her thread. I’d tried blocking her before, but all she did was call and text from other numbers, and I got tired of that shit. I wasn’t about to change my number, so the best thing to do until she got the hint or caught one of my bullets was to just mute her stupid ass.

As I pulled up to my house, I saw Logan’s car sitting in my driveway. Rolling my neck from side to side, I took a second to send a message to the cleanup crew to go ahead and make their way over here. I wasn’t about to give her ass not one more warning. She was all out of passes with me, and being that she couldn’t take a fucking hint, it was time to get rid of her. I didn’t want her popping up while Kenedi was there and causing anyissues. Nobody was going to run Kenedi away, and she wasn’t the type to keep dealing with Logan’s bullshit.

Taking my time to get out, I rounded my car and stared her ass dead in the fucking face. She was far too pretty to have a bullet in the middle of her head, but hey, she brought that shit upon herself.

“What the fuck are you doing in my driveway, Logan?”

“I think we need to talk, Sincere. We can’t just throw away everything we were building like it meant nothing,” she said, stepping closer and attempting to rub her hand down my chest. I grabbed her shit and bent it back.

“Don’t put your fucking hands on me. Now again, what the fuck are you doing here? I thought I told your ass I didn’t want to see or hear from you again, yet here the fuck you are.”

“I just thought it was worth another shot for us,” she said, jumping up to kiss me as I saw a camera flash behind us.

“What the fuck are you on, Logan?”

“Nothing. You’re going to see that we’re meant to be together. I’ll be waiting for your call,” she said, wiggling her hand out of mine and jumping in her car.

Before I could even fully understand what the fuck she’d just done, whoever took the picture jumped in her car and they peeled out. As much as I wanted to pull my gun out and shoot both of them, I knew now wasn’t the time. Shaking my head, I decided to let the shit go for now. But the next time I saw her, it would be me popping up on her ass, and only one of us would be walking away from the shit.

LOGAN:

Oh, and I thought you’d want to know that your “girlfriend” has a dinner date next week with my client, her supposed to be ex-fiancé.

Pocketing my phone, I chose not to feed into Logan’s bullshit. If Kenedi was going to meet up with Ray, she would’ve told me, and since she hadn’t said shit about it, I wasn’t going to say shit. What did I look like going to question her about some shit that Logan’s ass told me? Nah, I trusted my woman until she gave me a reason not to.

“Sincere, why do you insist on taking me to all these fancy places? You know I would be happy with a burger and fries, too, right? I’m not with you for your money.”

“Hell, you better not be. I pay your ass well enough for you to not need me for a damn thing,” I said, laughing as I held the door open for her.

“Exactly,” she said, laughing.
