“Liar.” I press a kiss to her lips. “You ready to head back down?” I say against her lips.

“No, I’d rather fuck you in that new tub I know is sitting in our bathroom.” A laugh burst out of me at the abrupt change in subject.

“Later, baby. We can break in any room you want to … later.”

“I will absolutely be holding you to that.”

“It will be my absolute pleasure, almost-Mrs. Hutton.” I raise my eyebrows at her.

“God, I love the sound of that.” She lifts up to her tiptoes and kisses me again. “Let’s get back down there or they’ll send a search party, and I definitely don’t want anyone in our family catching us in a compromising position.”

“You’re making me really want to kick everyone out right now, you know,” I tell her as I grab her hand and lead her out the door and to the stairs.

“Get to grilling, and we can kick them out immediately after everyone eats.” She winks.

“Done.”

I’d do anything this woman asks of me, and I wouldn’t change that for the world.

Epilogue

Ainsley

Ayear and a half later…

“You better not be wearing panties under that dress, baby. When we’re done here, we’re going up to our room because I can’t wait any longer. You look too fucking amazing, and the way you just took charge of that presentation… Damn, Ains, you make me weak for you,” Ledger murmurs in my ear as I watch another colleague walking toward me.

My knees almost give out, but I hold strong. He will be waiting until everyone has come to talk to me because our business is important to both of us. Even if he makes me want to ditch it all.

Last year, we just attended the conference, no presentation, and it was fun. But this year? They asked both of us to be the keynote speakers.

I was so fucking nervous, but Ledger calmed my nerves the whole time, and now apparently, he’s done with the niceties.

“Thank you so much,” he says to the man who just walked up. “We’re on our way out for a bit, but we’ll be back later for the luncheon.” I don’t even get a chance to protest before he drags me out of the conference room and over to the elevators.

Vegas does something to this man, and I’m fully here for it.

“Mr. Hutton, that was very rude,” I tell him.

We’ve been married for a year now. Neither of us wanted to wait long after we got engaged. It was perfect and simple. I married the love of mylife standing in the field of wildflowers he grew for me, surrounded by our little family—and most of Bluebell Falls, of course. It was romantic as hell and something I still think about daily.

“Well, Mrs. Hutton, if I don’t fuck you in the next five minutes, I will not be held accountable for how rude I really get.” He smirks, and I laugh at his desperation.

“I think I like you like this,” I tell him as we step into the elevator.

He cages me in with a devious smile on his face. “Like what, baby?”

“Needy, impatient, sexy as hell,” I say.

He leans in close, nose nuzzling just below my ear, and I shiver as goosebumps spread down my arms.

A whimper escapes me, and Ledger tips his head back on a groan, pushing his hips to mine, showing me just how ready he is.

“You, up on that stage, completely owning the room, was the sexiest thing ever. Knowing that you’re mine and watching all those men so rapt with attention did things to my ego, baby,” he says, head still tilted back with strain.

The elevator dings, informing us we’re on our floor. Ledger shifts away from me and pulls me out of it so fast, I almost get whiplash.

We don’t say a word. We just race down the hallway to our room like teenagers, too impatient to slow down and be civilized. By the time we reach our door, I’m giggling and trying to catch my breath.
