“Not in person,” I rebuke.

“Hmm, good point...” She leans up on her elbows, placing a chaste kiss on my lips. “Later.”

“When later?” I kiss her back. “Five minutes? An hour? Tonight?”

“Maybe.” She’s teasing me. That little smirk is a clear indication.

I roll, pinning her beneath me, lips upon her throat as I growl, “Now?”

She’s laughing, trying to squirm away but not really, and my cock is already hard. Again.

This woman…

I grind up against the seam of her leggings, and she stops moving, a soft gasp escaping her—

“Where the fuck did you go? We need you down here.”Luc’s voice sounds in my brain loudly, stilling my movements.

“I’m with Revea in my room,”I shoot back, but now she’s watching me, tilting her head in question. “It’s Luc.”

“We need to deal with this, now.”Kaiden’s voice rumbles with a building bark.“Get down here.”

“Sylvan, is everything okay?”

“No. I was hoping to have you naked and fuck your scent into my mattress, maybe knot you, but now Kaiden is pulling rank and ordering us downstairs.”

She blinks up at me, cheeks turning red. “Wow...” She loops her arms around my neck, pulling me closer as she murmurs, “I think I’d like to see how you fuck someone’s scent into a mattress.”

She slowly kisses me, exploring my mouth with gentle licks of her tongue. I sink back down, into her—

“She’ll still be sore, Sylvan,”Val interrupts, freezing me.

Revea must feel my body tense because she sighs.

“Did he bark at you?” Before I can answer, she lowers her voice. “Want me to bark? Maybe that’ll cancel it out?”

Her fingers crawl up my neck, into my hair.

I groan, tilting my head into her touch.“Ireallywant you to bark at me again,” I admit, honestly, desperately, making her smile stretch wide. “But now I’m worried about hurting you. You only took Kaiden’s knot this morning. I’m sorry I didn’t think about that. Whenever you’re near, I struggle to think clearly.”

I look away, not liking the pit in my stomach caused by the thought of causing her pain.

Soft fingers pull my face back. “Hey.” Her smile is still there, just a little softer. “I need you to stop apologising, Sylvan. Since we’ve met, all you’ve done is be good to me. Every decision you’ve made has been selfless. Please don’t say sorry anymore.”

Then she leans up and kisses me, and that pit in my gut turns into something lighter.

Revea

Reluctantly, we head downstairs and walk straight into controlled chaos.

Three alphas in full work mode.

Kaiden’s pacing, phone pressed to his ear, voice low and sharp as he fires off instructions without breaking stride. Val stands near the window, one hand braced against the glass, the other gripping a phone, his tone clipped.

Luc’s stood by the kitchen counter with two laptops open. He’s speaking to someone on one screen while typing at speed on the second, eyes flicking between them. The moment he spots Sylvan, he jerks his chin in a sharp summons, and Sylvan immediately complies.

I hover at the edge of it all, eyes wide, pulse climbing, trying to piece together what the hell is happening.

Sylvan says something to Luc, then pulls my phone from his pocket. Luc nods as Sylvan flips it over, pops off the case, and starts taking it apart with fluid efficiency.
