After raiding the refrigerator for leftovers, we took our plates back into the living room and settled back onto the sofa to eat. We had the TV turned on, and I'd found a Golden Girls marathon on one of the channels.
"You know, Sophia Petrillo always reminds me of your Nonna."
He chuckled. "Yep, me too. I have a theory that one of the writers knew Nonna somehow, and secretly based the character on her. I mean - Sofia Peretti and Sophia Petrillo - both tiny feisty Italian grandmothers who always speak their minds, even when it's inappropriate. What are the odds?"
I laughed. "You may be on to something there."
After a while, I kept yawning and could hardly keep my eyes open. Nico called the security service to have them send a car to pick him up.
"You can stay here tonight, you know. I don't think my parents would mind."
"Thanks, Sunshine, but the first time I sleep with you in my arms, I want to be able to wake you up properly. That is not something I want your parents to overhear."
He kissed me goodbye as the car pulled into the drive twenty minutes later.
"I love you, Allie. I'll call you in the morning and we'll figure out how to spend the day together without the paparazzi hounding us."
"I'd like that. I love you. Be careful going home." With a last peck on my lips, he left for the night. As I locked up and turned out the lights, I wondered if I my parents would be able to watch Gracie again. I hated to ask again, but I needed to be alone with Nico. Desperately.
