“Besides,” she continued. “I’d be way more creative than that.”

Now I was interested. “In what way?”

“I don’t know, I’d probably fuck your brother or something.”

I stopped, flenching my fist.

Calm down, she’s testing the fuck out of you. Don’t let it show it bothers you.

“Marcus is a married man,” I stated simply. “He ain’t gonna go for it.”

“Sure? Maybe he got y’all daddy’s cheating genes.”

My eye twitched.

“So what’cha saying? You’d fuck my brother to get back at me?”

“I’m saying,” she turned to me and smiled. “Don’t fuck me over.”

That smile told me everything. She meant that shit and I regretted even starting this conversation. Then, like nothing happened, she turned and walked away.

I didn’t look up right away, double-checking a column before answering.

“Working, fool.” I corrected a mistake I typed. “We got a launch today. Remember? I’m looking over the report and making sure the numbers make sense.”

He stepped further into my office and closed my door.

“Really now?”

That made me glance up.

“Yes. Really. You should come look at them too. Let me know what makes sense.”

He started unbuckling his pants. “I’m coming.”

“Dude,” I paused. “I’m being deadass.”

“So am I. I wanna help, so lemme see.”

I thought he meant he’d look over my shoulder. You know, like a normal person.

But I was wrong.

He walked around my desk and before I could process what he was doing, his hand wrapped around my arm and pulled me out of my chair.

“What are you doing?”
