“Sure. You guys are awesome.” I feigned a flirting smile. “I don’t actually have a place to stay, so
why don’t I give you the location of the car, and you tell me where the nearest motel is? That way they’ll know where I am and can bring it in the morning when it’s done along with the bill.”
“That works. But if you wait around a little bit, I can give you a ride myself…to the motel.”
“No, thank you. I can walk.”
“It’s way down yonder, Missy. A pretty girl like you shouldn’t wander alone in the dark.”
My heart raced. It looked like he wouldn’t just let me go. “Oh. You think I’m pretty?”
“Damn right. You’ll look even prettier on my bike.”
“I’d love to see it. Where is it?”
“Parked right out front.”
“Would you let me see it?”
“Give me a few minutes, Missy. I’ll wrap up here and give you the ride of your life.”
I licked my lips instead of swallowing, and then I faked another smile. “I’ll go freshen up until you finish. Where’s the ladies’ room?”
He tilted his head to the left. “This way down the hall.” He leaned in some more that his bourbon
breath fanned my face. “Maybe I’ll join you.”
“Oh, aren’t you a naughty boy?” I bit my lip and shook my head. “Not before the ride, Mister.”
He grinned. “All right, Missy. Ride mybikefirst.”
Fuck you very much. I spun to dart to the bathroom where I could find a back exit.
“Didn’t catch your name,” he said before I took a single step away. That piece of shit was stalling
me.
I glanced at him over my shoulder. “You did. ItisMissy. What’s yours?”
“Snake.” He winked.
“Hot.” I could vomit a little. I twisted and made a beeline to the narrow hallway flanked with half
naked girls rubbing against some men. Then I slithered my way to another narrow hallway, where I
quickly found back exit.
Finally, I allowed myself to breathe as I burst out into the dark alley that had nothing but the Dumpster. I fixed my hoodie, covering my head and half of my face, as I ran to the other end of the
alley.
The second I stepped out, three motorbikes revved their way out of the shadows and blocked me.
Panic surged through me as I stared at the three men in cuts. They must have been the rest of the Wicked Warriors gang.
Snake joined them on foot, standing behind them. “Missy, you’re breaking my heart, running off like that. I thought we had a thing.”
My adrenaline kicked in with such force I might vomit on the spot. That Snake assholewasstalling me so his gang would come and kidnap me.
