“So youaretaking the career shift seriously?”

More than she thought. “None of your business. The only thing you should know is that for the next six months you’re mine.” The word tasted so good on my tongue. Mine. I left my seat and stood an inch away from her. “You’re at my mercy, Lady Brighton.”

The hitch in her breath made my cock leap. God, I wanted to fuck her so much. I wanted to touch and taste and fuck every inch of her all at once.

“As much as I appreciate your discretion, generosity and the skills you’ve demonstrated that can be great assets to Brighton,” she shot a daring stare at me, “I won’t let you or anyone take advantage of me the way you—”

“How wet are you?”

Her face expanded with shock. “If you want to keep your fucking job, you’ll have to stop sexually harassing your boss.”

“I thought my boss liked sexual harassment when it came with blackmail.” I kept my voice low. “How wet are you, boss? How wet did your PA make you when you were staring at his cock?”

“You started it.”

“So pretty wet, huh?”

“No. Not wet at all.”

I gave her a teasing smile before I stepped out of her space. “Good. So you don’t need to change before we go.”

“Go where?”

“Lunch.”

She blinked. “I still have work to do before I take a break, and you need to meet the rest of the staff, especially HR for a much needed sexual harassment crash course.”

“It can wait.”

“Fabio, I—”

“Zappa. Mr. Zappa. Learn some workplace etiquettes, will ya?”

I didn’t know how long it’d take her to slap me, but now, she surprised me with a laugh. “Well, I’m sorry,Mr. Zappa.”

Fuck me sideways and call me Sally already. It seemed like this woman would havemefalling head over heels in six days, not six months, when she rasped my name like that, calling me Mister in a slutty way, not that irritating formal crap, and then sashayed her delicious ass to the door.

She waited a heartbeat before she flipped her hair and glanced my way. “Are you coming or are you staring?”

“Staring. Fuck lunch. I wanna eat something else.”

“Ahem… HR!”

“Palle! Fine, food it is.” I grabbed her purse from the hanger. That thing looked heavy and sure left a red mark on her shoulder every day after work. I wished I could massage it for her, but until she was ready to get naked with me, the least I could do was carry the goddamn thing for her.

“Thank you. I almost forgot to take it with me.” She reached for it, but I slid it over my shoulder like my messenger bag. Her hand dropped. “You don’t have to carry my bag.”

“I know, but I’m doing it. I’m the PA after all.”

“But we’re leaving the office.”

“Then I’m the fiancé. The kind that won’t let his girl carry a heavy bag while he saunters next to her with his hands free.”

“Always so chivalrous,Mr. Zappa.”

Fuck it. I held her arms and smeared the rest of her lipstick with my lips. Carrying her, I pressed into her body, and then made a managerial decision to place her back against the wall, not the door. I could break the thing with what I had in mind.

Her kiss tasted like fire and pain and fear I was only discovering in me as I realized I didn’t have any willpower around her. She, on the other hand, had a black magical power over me she exercised in her gaze, in her voice, in her lips. She could break me in a way I didn’t think still possible, not after I’d been shattered to pieces beyond repair.
