“Whatever it is, it’s a lie. A trick to get you out of here, to mess with your head, to make you change your mind.”

“No.”Inferno, please…

He’s not here. He left me this message five minutes ago and asked me to deliver it in his voice.

“Stay with me, my queen.” He slid into me. “You belong here.” His groan tickled my ear as he thrust into me. “With me.”

“Damien…please…I can’t…”

Isabella! Isabella, it’s Alec!Joshua panicked over our sire bond. Joshua never panicked. He left a message that’s… Kayden is off to find him. I…I thought you should know. If you can hear me, my love, just know I love you. We all do. Life without you will…mean absolutely nothing.

“Joshua!” I was too perturbed to focus and speak only over the sire bond.

Damien roared with that deep guttural voice that scared me. “GET OUT OF HER HEAD!”

I swallowed, my mouth too dry, my heart thudding, echoing in my chest so hard as if it was hollow.

His blazing eyes stared at me. “My patience has run out.” He pushed into me hard. “You…are…mine.” He grabbed my wrists and pinned them behind me, pounding me. “Whether…you like it…or not.”

“Damien, no… I have to go.”I’m coming! Please help Kayden find Alec. I’m coming!I pushed Damien off me, but he wouldn’t stop. “Please. I’ll come back.” Wincing, I pressed my palms harder against his chest. His response was fucking me even harder.

“You will lie here and take it like you should. You’ve already said to everyone you chose Hell, and the Elite Demon Knights are my witnesses to your declaration and our final mating. It’s done, darling. There’ no turning back now.”

I winced again but I managed to shoot him a glare. “Damien…”

“Yes, my queen,” he groaned.

“Get. Your. Cock. Out. Of. Me. Now.”

He smirked at me, but then he slammed into me fast, as if I’d said nothing. With a final thrust, he pierced my boob with his long, sharp nail. I screamed in pain, and he emptied his load inside of me with a loud groan, licking my own blood off his finger.

Only then he pulled out of me. “You’ll thank me later.” His nose nuzzled in my neck, sniffing me like a dog. “Oh, my queen. Do you feel it, darling?”

My aversion for ever having any feelings for a selfish prick like him? Or the lack of care that I did? Or the power surging through my body that dulled everything else? Even my sickening worry for Alec?

Was that how it felt like to be the queen of Hell? An asshole that felt nothing and cared about nothing except herself? A coldhearted bitch that was empty on the inside except for the urge to destroy and the need for sin and mayhem?

Damien got off me and stood. Loud roars of cheer erupted as the ritual ended and he took my hand, helping me up. He gestured at the throne. “Your seat, my queen.”

I ascended, leaving a trail of red footprints and any speck of light I’d left behind me. He grabbed the golden crown of skulls and thorns and, as I sat, placed it on my bloody head.

Chapter 32

Belle

I am Hell’s Queen

The fallen angel’s cursed passion.

The forbidden reincarnated abomination that ruined so many lives before she even wore the crown.

Kayden, Joshua, Zavariel, Alec… The wings of an archangel, the hearts of my lovers, the life of my mate, all collateral damage, all no longer significant.

What was significant was the throne, the crown, the king and the kingdom bowing to me now at my bloody feet under the black sky.

This was what I chose at will. Black and red. Darkness and blood.

Then why were my mind and my instincts flaring, burning, begging me to run?
