“DON’T!”Jethro screams, but it’s too late. Master D gently takes my hand, leading me out of his office and down the hall to the bank of elevators.
“Are you sure about this my sweet Lolli-Doll,” he asks, cupping my face.
“Yes. One hundred percent,” I say as he smiles down at me. The elevator doors slide open and we step inside. He takes out a card, swiping it against the reader, and away we go.
Sitting in this room that is not the same as before. It’s warmer and my hands twitch with excitement.
“Where are they?” I ask.
“Soon. Have some patience, my sweet doll,” he says, and I nod. Something cold presses against my arm and I glance down to see the needle. I don’t flinch. I never do.
“What does this one do?” I ask.
“It gives you what you’ve been searching for,” he says calmly.Perfect.
“Do it,” I order, and the drug slides in. Cold then warm—too fucking warm. My body softens as the room blurs, the edges melt, and the sound stretches.
“This isn’t right,”Jethro’s voice comes in and out all distorted.
“I know,” I whisper, but I don’t care, because soon, they will be here.
“See you soon, my sweet Lolli-doll,” Master D says, kissing my cheek and leaving the room. I stare out the window, watching the trees sway in the wind, wishing I could go outside and lay in the grass while the sun shines against my skin.
“Hey, Little Riot. Miss me?” And my head snaps toward his voice and I see Jagger leaning against the wall, his eyes locked onto me. I leap from the bed and jump into his arms. He catches me with ease, and I press my lips against his.Alive. Real. Dangerous.
“You disappeared,” I whisper, and he smirks.
“I didn’t go far,” he states, grabbing the globes of my ass.
“Thank god. I’ve been looking everywhere for you guys.” I giggle as he places me down on my feet.
“Canvas,” Killian says, and I whip around and run for him. I wrap my arms around his neck, pressing my lips to his throat.Pulse rapidly beating.“You look better,” he whispers, and I giggle.
“I thought I was losing my mind. You weren’t in the cafeteria. I searched,” I say, and he smiles, dragging his finger along my cheek.
“It’s okay. We're here now,” he says as someone else comes up behind me, pressing his body into mine.
“Giggling Goddess. I told you I’d find you again,” he purrs, licking the shell of my ear. I shiver at his touch.
“Well, if you didn’t find me, I was on the hunt.” I giggle.
“God, I missed that sound,” he whispers, wrapping his arms around my waist.
“Where’s Vinny?” I ask, and he whips me around, showing me what I want. Vinny doesn’t say anything but he’s close enough to feel—to matter, and I reach out for him. He takes my hand, pulling me into him, then cups my face.
“Ghostgirl. I see you’ve been a bad girl,” he states, and I tilt my head.
“If you were watching me this whole time, I’m going to kick your fucking ass.” I giggle, and he smirks.
“You can try, but let me tell you a secret,” he says, brushing his nose along the column of my neck up to my ear. “I’m quicker than you.” Then he sucks the lobe into his mouth, biting down on the tender flesh. My chest tightens.
“You’re real.” I whisper, looking at all of them.
“Do you want us to be?” Lucifer asks. and I nod.
“Yes.”
Jagger steps closer, pulling me away from Vinny.
