He pulled away from me, and I gasped for air, my eyes snapping open. I didn’t know if I was relieved or disappointed that he stopped, but before I could think more, my body was pulled, and I ended up sitting on his lap, my back against his torso.
I bit my lower lip, not knowing what to do or how to react. I tried to relax and leaned back closer, letting out the breath that I was holding.
It felt so good. I wished he wouldn’t wake up from his trance and push me away.
“Nadia…” He said my name hoarsely, sending tingles and sparks down my spine.
“Hmmm…” I muffled my response.
“Your uncle, did he hurt you before this?” I felt him resting his chin on my shoulder.
I nodded my head. “But not as bad as this. He would slap or push me whenever I did something he didn’t like.”
“Did he… Did he…” He was stuttering as if he had a hard time talking. His grip on my waist tightened before he continued. “Did he sexually assault you or ask someone to...”
I didn’t let him finish before I shook my head. “No. You were my first… And my only sexual encounter.”
I felt his body stiffen before he relaxed. “Me, too… You were my first.”
It was my body’s turn to stiffen at his admission. I was his first. But he fucked me like he knew what he was doing.
“Really? And here I thought you left me in the cave because I didn’t meet your expectations. Because I was lousy and inexperienced.” I couldn’t help but blurt it out.
“What did you say?” He pulled away from hugging my back and twisted my body so I was sitting on his lap sideways.
I clutched the shirt on my chest tightly as my eyes widened. He just shifted my body as if I were a doll that didn’t weigh anything.
“What did you say? I left you?” His brows furrowed, and his expression became deadly, reminding me of the look he had when I first saw him at the border.
I nodded my head. I narrowed my eyes and tried to hide the fear coursing through my veins. I stared into his dilated eyes, letting him know how I hated him for leaving me. “Yes. You left me after you feasted on my body.”
Chapter 11
RILEY.
“Yes. You left meafter you feasted on my body.” She said accusingly.
I cupped her face, making sure she didn’t drop her gaze away from me. “Fucking say that again, louder…”
I was tightly clenching my teeth, controlling myself from growling even if her words pissed me off.Did she say I left her when it was she who was nowhere to be found in the cave when I woke up?
Her forehead creased as her hands flew to the hands cupping her cheeks, and she started prying my fingers away from them. “You’re hurting me!” She snarled.
I let go of my hands in an instant. I was trying to control my voice so hard that I didn’t notice I was gripping her too hard.
“I’m sorry.” My hands held her waist instead. I lifted her up, shifting her body carefully so she would end up sitting on my lap facing me, my thighs between her legs.
Her eyes widened as I adjusted her position, but she didn’t complain or move away.
“Now, can you fucking tell me why you said I left you?” I asked her, my tone a little calmer.
She narrowed her eyes on me again, and a hiss escaped her lips. “First—stop using the word fucking in every sentence because I don’t see anyone fucking around here. And second, stop acting like you didn’t leave me because you did! I searched the whole cave for you. I waited for Goddess knows how many hours just in case you would come back, but you didn’t!”
Am I missing something?I heard everything she said, but something wasn’t registering right. She said she went looking for me in the cave, but she was nowhere to be found when I woke up.
Did we end up in two different places? And she waited for me? Had I returned that day instead of the next, would I have found her there?I was so confused.
“You left me. I woke up and you were gone…” My voice came out low and raspy. My throat felt dry.
