I was expecting him to leave, but instead, he walked to my side and crouched on the floor beside me.
“Can I hold your stomach?” He asked, a solemn expression on his face, and all the thoughts of teasing him more were wiped off my head.
I nodded my head and bit my lower lip.
I sat up and he pulled the sheets down, revealing my naked breasts. His eyes lingered on them for a while before he held my waist and leaned his face towards my stomach, pressing a kiss on my belly.

I knew we still had many things to sort out, but he was making a good start. He wanted the baby as much as I did.
I didn’t even notice that I was already sobbing, sniffing softly when his gaze met mine.
“Why are you crying?”
“Are you scared if we canparent our baby? Because I am. I don’t know how to be a mother.”
“We have each other, Nadia. We can learn together. And we have Jenny, Sebastian, Dominic...”
I chuckled. “They don’t have a baby yet. How would they know?”
“We will all learn together, and I’m sure they will always have our back, plus we have a whole pack. They love you, and I’m sure they will help us if we ask for help. And I can watch videos too. I’m good at picking up things from watching videos.”
This time I giggled, clutching my stomach as I did, and Riley’s face lit up as he beamed at me. “You’re beautiful, Nadia. When you left, I started asking myself if I could make you happy. And seeing you laugh right now is calming my heart. I wish I could always make you laugh and smile like this.”
I stopped giggling and just stared at him. He was overwhelming me with his words. I wanted to say something, but I didn’t want to break the magic between us.
We were just staring at each other as silence brewed between us before his gaze went down to my naked breasts and hunger suddenly flared in them.

The doctor’s visit wentwell. Doctor Genevieve came and did a thorough check-up on Nadia and our pup. She was already in her ninth week, which means she was three weeks pregnant when she left.
