My ears perked up at the mention of Alpha Riley and his Luna from the group of young females sitting just behind my booth.

I was informed by Alpha Darvin that it was the Alpha that marked Nadia, and had I known it, I would have used a different tactic. But my stupid niece was too stupid to even identify that the one who marked her was the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack.

“And why was it taking them too long to have a Luna Ceremony?”

“I don’t know. Maybe the Alpha doesn’t like her. “

“No way. My brother said, he has never seen the Alpha getting mushy and handsy with any female before, just the Luna, so I think he likes her.”

“Maybe the Luna doesn’t want him?”

“You think so? But why? I would love to be mated to the Alpha!”

“I don’t know. We don’t even know where she came from, but maybe she has a boyfriend somewhere.”

“I don’t think so, I think they’re just preparing something grander, so it’s taking longer. It should be a big celebration because we have never had a Luna for more than a decade now.”

I didn’t hear the rest of the conversation as my mind immediately sprang into action.

Payback time.

I lost a month of my life being beaten to death in that horrid cell, and I lost my female. I still had no idea where my mate was after she ran away when I was held. I couldn’t blame her. They would probably have gone after her if she hadn’t left.

I would go and find her, but first, Nadia needed to be punished. I slipped out of my seat and met the server with my order, but I just ignored her even after she called after me. I suddenly lost my appetite. I had more important things to do.

Chapter 54

NADIA.

Iwatched Riley combat withone of his Elite Warriors in a makeshift arena at the training grounds. I had always seen him during training and when he boxed on his own at the gym. If he was looking sexy during those times, they were nothing compared to how he looked at the moment.

He looked like a god with his sweat glistening over his naked torso. His face showed his animalistic side, and I wouldn’t deny that the sight of his fierce side made my core throb. He was really hot, and I couldn’t believe he was mine.

I flinched and almost let out a gasp when he was hit on the jaw by his opponent, but it didn’t make him falter or even lose his stance. Instead, he countered the attack, and in just a second, the warrior who was also showing mastery of the skill was already on the ground.

‘I can feel your emotions here, my love. Don’t be terrified. I’m okay.’He reached me through our mindlink, and I could see him winking at me from a distance.

‘Does it hurt?’I asked, my voice laced with worry. I knew he could take the blow, but my heart couldn’t take it.

‘It hurts more when you refuse to speak with me whenever you are mad at me.’He chuckled.

‘Stop kidding around, and focus there. I will put my wall up so I don’t distract you.’

‘Don’t do that. I need to feel something to keep me going.’

‘But your walls are up. I can’t feel you.’

‘I don’t want you to feel the blow, Nadia.’He chuckled.

‘So it means it hurts.’I chuckled at my own words because, of course, the punches hurt.

‘Yes, it does, but nothing I couldn’t take. And it’s something I don’t want you to feel.’

‘I know. I was just being a brat. Focus! And make me proud!’

‘Yes, my Luna.’

Another gasp left my throat, but this time, it wasn’t for him. It was for the warrior he was sparring with. Riley jabbed him in the jaw, and his body spun around before falling to the ground with a loud thud. He wasn’t moving.
