“Next weekend? When did you decide this?” Damaris asked. “How? Where? Are you going to have it here?”
“We decided we wanted to have it at the Harwood Inn.” One of the favorite places for weddings in or near Whiskey River. “When we called we were going to book it for either Christmas, or failing that, the spring, but they had a cancelation for next weekend. So we took it.”
Hugs and congratulations were shared. “The ceremony is going to be small, just family,” Chantel added. “But we’ll have all our friends who can make it to the reception. We’re going to email everyone since it’s so spur of the moment.”
“Have you talked to the folks yet? Are all of them coming?” Damaris asked. “And what about Cole and Jedidiah?” she added, referring to their other brother and sister.
“Both sets of parents are coming,” Gabe said. “Cole said he would but I haven’t been able to get hold of Jedidiah yet. We’ll invite Ruthie too, of course. And Chantel’s sister Angel is going to be her maid of honor.”
Chantel handled most of Fallen Angels’s business aspects while Angel was the creative one with several lines of lingerie she designed herself. According to Gabe, the two were doing a great business.
“Do you have a wedding dress, Chantel?” Damaris asked.
“Angel has something in mind and swears she can have it ready in time.”
“Oh, wow,” Damaris said. “If I ever get married I would kill to have a gown designed by your sister.”
Chantel laughed. “She promised she wouldn’t make it look like a negligee set.”
Gabe said, “I wouldn’t mind but then I’d have to kill my brothers.”
Everyone laughed. Chantel patted his cheek. “Don’t worry. Just because Angel usually creates lingerie doesn’t mean she can’t create any item of clothing she wants to. I just like to tease her.”
