My chest is heaving, and now I want to drop to my knees and taste him too. He’s still hard, and I’m sure that won’t be going away anytime soon.
As if reading my mind, he grabs my chin and shakes his head with a half smile. “I’m okay. I have the perfect image of you to fuck my fist to later.”
“You’re killing me here, Grayson.”
A sarcastic laugh leaves him. “You’re telling me.”
After I smile, we look at each other, knowing tonight changed everything.
“Grayson…”
A loud huff leaves him. “I know.”
Biting my lip, I lay a hand on his chest. “Now what?”
He shrugs. “Let’s not try to figure that out so late at night.” Grayson pauses and hesitates, his eyes shifting. “I think this goes without saying, but we should keep this between the two of us until we figure everything out.”
I laugh sarcastically. “Trust me, Professor Hayes, the one thing I know how to do is keep a secret. Besides, your reputation isn’t the only one on the line. It’s kind of exciting, though.”
“What part?”
“The idea of sneaking around.”
Grayson smiles. “Yeah, I guess it is.” He tucks a piece of hair behind my ear. “Let me take you home. We’ll talk more about this later.”
He grabs me for the millionth time tonight, but I don’t fight him. “Are you going to let me touch you?”
“Not tonight.” He side-eyes me and laughs at my pout. “Trust me when I say it hurts me much more than it does you.”
We’re near his car when I roll my eyes, and say, “Then why are you making yourself suffer?”
Grayson twists around and kisses me again. “Because I’ll come in two fucking minutes, Emma, and I want the first time to last. I want to lick and fuck you all night so hard that you can barely stand, let alone walk the next day, in every position possible, making you scream until your voice is hoarse.” My core clenches, and I’m ready for a second round of whatever tonight was. It’s so rare for me to want someone like this, and my subconscious slowly rears its ugly head. There’s a red light going off, and I know it’s because I have no idea where this is headed, and I can’t let myself enjoy something casual for one damn second, and that pisses me off.
“Oh, and Emma?”
He knocks me out of my haze. “Yeah?”
Grayson pulls out the hundred-dollar bill I placed on the table and the fifty I gave to Cecil. “Don’t worry, Cecil got a very generous tip.” He slips the money into one of the pockets of my sweater dress. “And I know you’ve got more than enough to pay, but so do I.”
And with that, he opens the car door for me, lifts me up, and helps me in.
A couple of weeks—that’s all it took for this to happen. I can only blame London…and my stubborn, straightforward self.
Chapter Twenty-One
GRAYSON
Emma fell asleep ten minutes ago, and we’re almost back on campus. I turned down the radio, which was playing some random pop song, so it wouldn’t wake her, but the light snoring from her side of the car proves she’s deep asleep.
“No, I want that article,” she mumbles, and her head moves slightly before she snores softly again.
Well, fuck. She talks in her sleep.Of course she does.
God, this girl…she’s really messed me up in all kinds of ways. I got the warning from Marina and completely ignored it. I opened myself up to her like I haven’t with anyone in a long, long time…but she did the same.
Emma will keep us a secret—I trust her with that, but is she expecting something serious? It’s barely been four months since my divorce, and I only ran into Emma on campus last month. All kinds of fucking red flags are going up in my mind, and I’m still ignoring them because I’m so, so attracted to her. Now more than ever. What she was brave enough to do tonight—not just the show she put on, on the street, but also the way she put me in my place—was so damn sexy.
She’s stunning on the outside, resembling a mix of Grace Kelly and Pamela Anderson if I had to describe her. A sexfantasy come to life. She might be short, though she’s always taller with her heels, but her personality is anything but small. Emma is a fiery ball of energy and doesn’t hesitate to say what’s on her mind. She’s a pain in the ass and definitely a thorn in my side, which only makes me more attracted to her.
