“They’re creepy,” he says with a shrug, avoiding looking at anyone. I try not to smile, realizing he’s embarrassed by it.

“I love you,” I blurt out. His head whips to me in surprise, and I can’t help but laugh. “I know you’re sharing your irrational fears to help show me that I shouldn’t be embarrassed, but I at least have a reason to be afraid of closets. What’s your excuse?”

His jaw drops open as a look of pure disbelief crosses his face. “I can’t believe you just said that!” he says, still looking stunned. “I’ll have you know, having someone dressed up in a clown costume to entertain children can be very traumatizing for a four-year-old!”

I can’t stop the giggle that bubbles out of me, only slapping my hands over my mouth after the damage is done. Elias and Dex start laughing, and even Sly tries to cover his smile with his hand.

“Oh, you’re asking for it!” Pete warns me before he turns to me and starts tickling my sides.

I cry mercy as I catch a glimpse of Elias wiping a tear away from laughing so hard. “I don’t know why you’re laughing,” I say in his direction, which has Pete’s fingers pausing their torture. “Yours is worse.”

Pete’s eyes go so wide they look like they’re about to pop out of his head. “Oh shit, what is it?” he asks eagerly.

“Wren, don’t you dare,” Elias warns, pointinga finger at me.

A grin slowly stretches across my face until I’m smiling so big, it hurts.

“Wren… I’m warning you, don’t do it.”

“Or else what?”

“I’ll put you over my knee and spank that ass bright red.”

“He’s scared of dolls,” I blurt out.

“Wren!” he hisses in frustration. Pete and Dex erupt into laughter along with me. I watch in amusement as Elias slowly gets to his feet and steps toward me. That quickly makes my laughter die down. And the closer he gets, the more my body seems to react.

When he’s standing right in front of me, I stare back, my breath coming in ragged, short bursts. He reaches a hand toward me, and, on instinct, I take it. He pulls me to my feet, turns, and leads me away from the couch.

Looking over my shoulder at the others, Jagger signs,“You’re in trouble now.”

My jaw drops open at the amusement I see written across his face. Is he enjoying this? Glancing at the others, they all look amused with the turn of events. I’m not sure what to think. I’ve never been spanked before. It seems like something a parent would do to a misbehaving kid.

So why was I growing damp at the thought of being spanked like some naughty girl?

Elias pulls out one of the chairs from the dining room table and spins it around, taking a seat facing the living room. The guys are all turned this way, watching with varying degrees of amusement. Pete is grinning, Dex has a huge smile on his face, while Jagger’s eyes are heated, and Sly looks like he’s seconds away from coming over here to do the job himself.

I feel Elias’s hands on my pants, so I turn and watch himdip his thumbs into my leggings and pull them down my legs, making sure to keep my thong in place and covering me. I freeze, unsure what to do. We’d only been intimate together once, nine days ago, when I first got here. Between Jagger and Sly, they were adamant that nothing else was to happen until I heal. And just a few minutes ago, Sly was telling me I couldn’t have any fun until the scabs were gone.

So why is Elias removing my pants right now? Did spanking have to be done on bare flesh?

“Wren?” Elias tugs my hands, and I have a feeling it's not the first time he’s tried to get my attention.

“If you’re uncomfortable, I won’t do this.”

“I don’t even know what this is,” I admit.

He pulls me closer so I’m standing between his legs, and he reaches up to cup my cheek. “Did you ever watch anyone getting spanked in the pornos you watched?”

I shake my head. “I don’t think so.”

Wait—Did that mean this was a sexual thing? That actually helped to ease some of the tension in me as I was confused why my body was getting aroused.

“I’m going to give you ten spankings.”

“Ten!?” I ask in shock.

He nods his head. “You can tell me to stop at any time, though.”
