Reyn’s eyes narrowed. “Are you saying no, Velario?”

“No! I most definitely say yes, but you realize we have to be quiet?”

“So stop talking already.”

Velario stopped talking. He kissed her again.

Meanwhile, Reyn succeeded in opening his trousers and wrapped her fingers around him. He burned under her fingers, the same heat she felt, a heat that could only be cooled by first fanning it to inferno levels. She tried to drop to her knees, but Velario caught her shoulders and held her up.

“Uh uh. There is no way I can be quiet if you do that.” He moved back to the chair in the darkest corner of the box and sat. He gathered her skirts in great fistfuls, tugging them up until they draped over his arms and his fingers found her thighs again. This time, there was only a single layer of silk between his skin and hers.

“Take them off,” Reyn whispered. She needed the barrier removed.

Velario tugged her drawers down past her knees, then she stepped back and let them fall all the way to the ground before stepping free. She lifted her skirt and straddled Velario’s thighs. He clamped his hands on her hips and positioned her so that his cock brushed against her folds.

“Remember, quiet,” he rasped.

Reyn nodded.

He didn’t wait any longer. In a single swift motion, he buried himself in her. She bit her lip to keep from crying out. Then his mouth was on hers once more. Their tongues entwined, but they otherwise did not move. Impatient, Reyn flexed her hips and Velario was the one biting back a groan.

He lifted her and lowered her in slow motion, the sensation an agonizing torment. A delicious pleasure. Reyn moved with him, tilting her hips to change the angle, savoring the fullness he was in no rush to end. She had expected a furious joining, furtive and fast. Instead, he made love to her, patient and intent.

They climaxed in unison, their bodies synchronized beyond the physical.

Reyn unbuttoned Velario’s jacket, slid her arms under it and around his waist, and sighed. “I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

“You still owe me a distraction free visit to the opera.”

“I’ll give you a lifetime’s worth of opera visits, but I doubt any will be distraction free after this.”

He was right. Reyn would never sit next to him and watch a performance without thinking about this night. And she didn’t mind. Not at all.
