Tobias swallowed his regret and tried to mentally rebuild the wall he used to keep people at arm’s length.

But brick by brick, Chase continued to knock it down.

Gym Rat Pack Group Chat

CHASE:You guys think you’re ready for some more challenging yoga poses this week?

HUNTER:How challenging are we talking? I’m so close to touching my toes!

JOSH:I believe in you, Hunter!

HUNTER:::grin emoji::

GARRETT:I’m sure we can handle some tougher poses.

CARSON:If you think we’re ready for it, we’ll try it.

COLE:Do the new poses align with “Kama Sutra?”

CHASE:No.

CHASE:Well maybe a little bit yes. There’s some overlap, but we won’t be focusing on that.

COLE:::applause emoji::

RILEY:On a scale of corpse pose to balancing all our weight on one pinky finger, where are we on the challenge scale?

JOSH:I’m not ready for pinky balancing yet. Maybe I’ll start pinky curls with tiny weights to build muscle there.

RILEY:You’re gonna have the most jacked pinkies around!

CHASE:Yeeeah, we’re not quite at pinky finger balancing yet.On a scale of one to ten, I’m thinking you guys are ready for level four-ish.

RILEY:That’s all?? Damn, I thought we were farther than that.

CHASE:You’ve made amazing progress so far! But we’ve just gotten started.

HUNTER:I’m up for the challenge!

COLE:I’d like to hear more about pinky strengthening. That could come in handy.

GARRETT:This chat is like watching a nature documentary.

CHASE COULD BE PROFESSIONAL. Chase could besoprofessional. He could be the most professional person in the entire world.

Unfortunately, his brain didn’t keep his thoughts professional.

It had been a few days sincethe kiss that went nowhere, as he referred to it.

It had a few nicknames.

The biggest tease ever.

The thing that could get him fired.

The moment everything felt right before it all crashed and burned, all before anything even started.
