Every atom of my being wanted to see her naked. I wanted to run my hand over her skin and cup her full breasts as she swallowed my cock down.

She shook her head. Her cheeks suctioned around me. One simple movement and all rational thought left my head.

All that was left was her and the magic she was doing with her damn mouth.

“Liam.”

I knew the moment Maggie used my first name that I wasn’t going to like whatever it was she was going to say, she rarely called me anything but Havoc.

I turned with the glass of water to my lips as she hovered in the doorway. Her nightdress made her seem even smaller than she was. “What’s up? Did we wake you?” I hoped it was something that simple.

We hadn’t exactly been quiet since we had gotten back. I had paid Darcie back for the orgasm she had given me in my favourite spot by giving her several ones in return.

“No I wasn’t asleep, I had my earphones in but I was hoping to catch you alone. Without your new lady friend.”

Something in her voice made me start. “You don’t like Darcie?” I wanted the two women in my life to get along. They were both important to me. If Maggie didn’t like her I wasn’t sure what I would do.

She waved my words away with a flick of her wrist. “I like Darcie just fine. It’s you I’m worried about. What kind of trouble are you getting yourself in? I know you so don’t give me that look. If your brother owes people money then let him deal with it. I love you both but he wouldn’t spit on you if you were on fire. Do not ruin your life because of him.”

I didn’t know what to say. Was that what she thought I was doing? “I’m not doing it for him, I’m doing it for her. She doesn’t deserve that kind of shit following her for the rest of her life. Innocent or not it will follow her, I’ll pay his debt so she can live her life.”

My grandmother sighed loudly. “You’re good man Havoc, I’ve always said so but have you thought about what she wants?”

I blinked at her. “She doesn’t want a bullseye on her back, I know that much.” I didn’t know where this conversation was going but I didn’t like it.

“You’re risking a hell of a lot for a girl who might not want you back, that’s all I’m saying.”

I mulled her words over for a second before answering. “She wants me, Maggie. You are worrying for nothing.”

“So, she’s staying? When all of this trouble has blown over is she staying because you want her to? Or are you doing this for a girl who is going to leave your ass the first chance she gets?”

I swallowed hard. “She wants me,” I repeated to no one in particular.

“Why do you want her so much Havoc, have you thought about that? For her, or because it gets one over on your little brother? You might not want to think about it but I have to. I’ll be the one picking up the pieces if this goes wrong. She will either leave you or you will realise that you aren’t falling in love with her at all and that you only wanted her because she was his first.”

“That’s not it.” At least I was pretty sure that wasn’t the reason I liked her so much. “No one knows the future Maggie, not me and especially not you. I could die tomorrow and if I do I want to have at least given this thing between me and her a chance.”

My grandmother scowled. “If you are mixed up with the family then you dying is a real possibility. Does she know just how much you are risking for her?”

“I do now.” Darcie’s voice spoke softly from the shadows beyond the kitchen door.

“Fuck.” I whirled, sloshing water over my knuckles. “How long have you been there?”

“Long enough.” She stepped into the room. “I think we need to talk, don’t you?”

With a knowing look, Maggie shuffled away. “I’ll leave you two to talk. Don’t stay up too late.”

She had known Darcie was standing there listening, I was sure of it. Interfering old woman that she was. Still, I couldn’t stay mad at her, me and Darcie did need to talk.

I had tried on the bluff but had got sidetracked by her pretty pink lips going to work on my body.

“Sit down Darcie, it’s time for that serious conversation.”

“Darcie.” I leant heavily on the side, my arms crossed over my chest, over the tattoo that almost covered it.
