Mine.

“I love you,” I whisper into his lips as he cuddles into me tightly.

“Love you more,” he assures me while burrowed into my neck, humming with contentment. Much the same as me these days.

The months that passed after Christian’s visit and Jed’s arrest were ever-changing. Arnie got his new job, and we celebrated by going up to the attic to use the cross that’s been gathering dust recently. We won’t be moving house, but it will change how often we see each other.

But with more friends, Freddie living so close as it turned out, and my brother, who decided to rent a flat here! I have more support and love in my life than I ever thought possible.

Our playtimes with Simmons and Freddie are now every few months, sometimes less so. We both trust them so much. So much had changed for them too, but I guess that’s their story to tell.

Being in my twenties, I decided I didn’t need to have everything figured out. I was healthy, happy, and had a great job. My brother was now permanent in my life again, and the love of my life was everything and more than I could have ever wanted.

“Ew, you two are so soppy over there,” Freddie blanches as he peeks over at us from his perch on Simmons cock.

“Are you already having sex again? Simmons, how the fuck do you keep up with him. You’re like 100,” Arnie teases as his hands caress my ass, his erection poking into my hip.

“I’m not much older than you, asshole. Plus, I have Jamie here to take a turn when Freddie’s hole needs attention, and I’m busy,” he winks my way.

Their laughs turn to moans as the sex switches serious, and I roll back to face Arnie. We laugh at our lives, the situation before us. I groan from knowing why the bed is vibrating beneath me. Arnie takes my mouth roughly, and we grind our hips together until we’re both coming at the same time.

Later, after we get home, I decide to tell Arnie what has been on my mind for the last few weeks. Hoping it was something he would be on board with.

Like everything in life, it’s not always sunshine and roses. Every so often you have to just hope that when you sit your partner down to find out if what lies ahead in your future, it will still include them.

So, I busy myself making an Italian brunch of fresh summer orzo pasta with a side of bruschetta. Pouring us both some Valencia orange juice and finding Arnie waiting for me in the garden as the summer sun beat down, illuminating his black swirled tan skin.

“This looks and smells outstanding, darling. You could ask me anything right now, and I’d agree to it,” he says, his eyes sparkling at the food in front of him.

“Well, maybe wait until you hear what I want,” I chuckle nervously as I take a bite of the pasta.

Eyebrow quirked; I can tell I have intrigued him.

“And, blondie, what is it you want to ask me?”

I chew my lip, nervous. What if he wants something different? Will he choose to be with me even if he hates what I was going to say next?

“Well, I was at the market with Raj a few weeks ago… ” I start to tell him, but the nerves are getting the best of me.

Arnie places his fork on his plate and edges forward, grabbing my chin. He meets my eyes with his powder blue ones.

“Whatever it is, it’ll be okay,” he says. I blow out a breath I had been holding in and gather myself.

“Okay, ripping off the band-aid,” I declare. Arnie nods warily, but with a look of amusement dancing around his eyes.

“I want to move our relationship to the next phase,” I state.

Arnie stops his glass midway to sipping and hums, nodding once more for me to go on.

“And, by next phase, I mean… I started it without you,” I admit.

“Jamie, what did you do?” His Dom voice is now in full force, getting me hot and bothered as I scramble to get my confession out.

“Well, Freddie said that it’s better to ask forgiveness than permission… ” I trail off when I see Arnie’s expression after the mention of my bratty BFF.

“Jamie. What. Have. You. Done?”

“We’veadoptedthreecats,” I huff out in one go. Done, I had told him.
