“Caught that, did you? I figured I better use the term while I can.”

“Woah,” I say, my heart stuttering a little. “You’re not dumping me already are you?”

Viv cups her hands around my face and tilts my head down so all my attention is on her. “Hell no, but I’m thinking I might elevate you to fiancee at some point, so I better use boyfriend while it still applies.”

I blink, but when I open my eyes again, she’s not laughing or bumping my shoulder playful. Nope. I know the look she’s giving me, and it’s her I-mean-business face. And that’s what I love about Viv. It might have taken her a long-ass time to get here, but now that she is, she’s all in.

Yeah, some people might think she’s a little crazy, a little impulsive, maybe even a little nuts.

The truth is, people say those same things about me.

That’s why we make such a perfect pair.

Luck is on my side today. Or maybe it’s love. Either way, I’m going to ride this winning streak as long as I can.

First off, Mickey didn’t boot my ass off the plane the minute he spotted me. And, okay, I didn’t actually think he would kick me off, but there’s a world of difference between “Get the hell out of here,” and “Don’t ever leave me.” I was terrified I’d fall in the middle of that spectrum, and that Mickey wouldn’t take another chance on me.

But I should have trusted my gut—and my guy. Mickey’s love is constant, and I won’t take that for granted again. Our little reunion has worked out better than I ever could have hoped. We’re back together. We’re in love. And we’re starting a grand adventure.

Pretty perfect, huh?

Except for one small detail…

I’m dying to rip his clothes off and consummate the fuck out of this relationship, but that’s tricky to do when you’re a bajillion feet up in the air and surrounded by two hundred other people.

I’m not saying I mind a crowd, but things could get awkward.

That’s where my lucky streak comes in.

Mickey just went to the restroom, and while that might not be the ideal place to make love, I’m taking what I can get. The problem is that Deb the flight attendant is standing right by the lavatory door. Normally, there’d be no way to sneak past her. I’m tiny, but I’m not invisible. Luckily, there’s a kid a few rows ahead of me who’s having a bad day. And look, I don’t wish misery upon that child or his parent, but since he threw an absolute fit that upended his drink, his mom's drink, an entire bag of cheddar crackers, and the contents of his diaper bag? Well, I’m thanking him for his extra-ordinary mess-making abilities because that debacle is enough to keep Deb busy for a while.

As she darts over to the scene of the crime, I quietly and casually make my way to the front of the plane. And when Mickey opens the door to exit the restroom, I reach up, place my hand squarely on his chest, and push him back inside. Then I duck in and close the door.

“Hey, what?—”

Covering his mouth with my hand, I smile. “Shhh, we don’t want anyone to hear us because the way I figure it, we’ve got ten minutes, max. You didn’t happen to bring your jump rope along, did you?”

He peeks my hand away from his face. “Sorry,” he whispers, pressing a kiss to my palm before wrapping his arms around me. “It’s in my checked bag, so we won’t be able to use it until we get to our place late tonight. But even though you can’t tie me up, I promise to put my hands only where you tell me to.”

“I like the sound of that,” I say, shifting our bodies so that his is closer to the door. Then, as quietly as possible, I lift my ass onto the teensy little counter where the sink is. The water turns on because I must have activated the motion sensor. Dammit.

Proving he’s not just a gorgeous face or a killer body, Mickey dampens a scrap of paper towel and presses it across the sensor.

“My boyfriend is a freaking genius,” I say quietly before leaning in for a kiss.

“Your boyfriend wants you so fucking bad,” he answers back in between kisses.

Now is not the time to be subtle or hesitant. We can save slow and serious for when we’re back at—what did he call it? Oh, yeah, our place. Mmmhmm, I like the sound of that. And yeah, we’re going at lightning speed, but that will surprise absolutely no one.

Cradling his head in my hands, I trail kisses along his jaw until I get to the space right next to his earlobe. “If my boyfriend wants to fuck me, then he definitely should. I’ve been thinking about it for so long?—”

“How long?” Mickey asks, leaning back just far enough to push his sweats and boxer briefs down.

“Since before the plane took off,” I say, bracing my arms on his shoulders and lifting my body up so he can peel my leggings and panties down. Thank god for yoga, gymnastics, and cheer. I knew those skills would come in handy. “Honestly,” I amend, “way before that. I’ve needed this for weeks now, since the last time you were inside me.”
