“What’s that?”

“All of me,” I confess. “You have my entire heart Sophie, I never want you to question that.” I need to make sure she has no doubts. “I love you.” I dip my chin, slouching enough to ensure she is eye level when I repeat my words to her. “I am in love with you. I love everything about you, your kindness, your compassion. How you feel everything so deeply, and every day, every moment I spend with you, I fall a little more. You are so much more than I bargained for and now that I have you there is no way I am ever letting you go.”

I notice the way her chest rises when she takes a calming breath before releasing it.

“I hope not, because losing you would be so much worse than anything else in my past.”

Sophie’s fingersare threaded with mine as I hold them out, giving her the support she needs. She moves above me, taking me inside of her over and over. I watch as she rides out the pleasure, her body tightening around me as her lips part.

I let her have control.

What started out in the shower led us to her room where I gave her the reins. Giving her whatever it was she needed.

I immediately got lost in her as she explored and drove me wild with need. Her mouth, kissing all over me, her tongue tasting me. It was without a doubt one of the most erotic moments I’ve ever experienced as she lowered her mouth over my hardness, her eyes closed as she moaned.

But when she climbed over me, straddling me and she positioned my cock before lowering herself, I knew I was wrong. This, seeing her fall apart again and again as she takes what she needs without pause, it’s the absolute most pleasurable experience I’ve ever encountered.

Her movements pick up and my toes curl as I fight the release building. I want to hold out, want to keep this moment for as long as I can. I need more, need to feel her.

“Yes.” She shifts and I know she is so close herself. Gripping her hips I lift my own and she gasps at the fullness. Thrusting over and over I watch as she squeezes her eyes shut tightly and her fingernails dig into my chest.

“Let go, baby,” I tell her, knowing that I can’t hold out much longer. The moment I feel her, the way she pulses around me I give in, and together we reach the fucking stars.

CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX

Sophie

I offerWilliam a hug before moving on to Patty. We hold each other a little longer, as she whispers a thanks for what I’m not quite sure.

“Come in,” she says, taking my hand and leading me into the living room before we all three take a seat.

This is my first visit with them since they received the wonderful news. I didn’t want to overwhelm them, knowing more than half the town would come rushing over to give their congratulations.

“I wanted to give it a few days before I popped in,” I tell them, offering the biggest smile. “I’m so happy that you all got good news.” My eyes fill with tears. “So happy.”

Patty reaches out and places her hand over mine, offering a squeeze.

“So I was talking to the girls and we were thinking about a celebration, everyone in town is so glad the treatment workedand everyone wants to visit with you and share their joy.” Patricia shares a look with William and he shrugs, smiling at her. “But I don’t want to upset anyone. I know how Finn can be and I don’t want to overstep.”

“Oh, honey,” Patty says, sliding forward.

“You really have no idea what you did for our son do you?” William says surprising me. We’ve talked he and I, but not much. When I first started coming by he was always resting or popping into the room for a short time, before quickly disappearing. He’s been a quiet man, and I’ll admit a little intimidating. “You gave him a light at the end of the tunnel. We were both beginning to worry about him. But just like that, there was this change. A happiness in him that had disappeared for a long time but reappeared.” His father smiles and glances over at his wife. “Then when he mentioned you and he were dating,” he shifts his attention back to me, “well, we knew then what the change was. It was you.” My chest tightens at his words. “We heard about this fake dating thing, but I don’t think our son was ever faking a thing. I think you were exactly what he needed at the very moment he needed it. For that, we will both be forever grateful that you stumbled into his life.”

I try to hold back my emotions. I never imagined showing up here today would lead to this conversation, but it has.

“We think a celebration is a great idea,” Patricia adds and I offer her a smile. Because quite frankly I wasn’t sure yet if I was ready to attempt words. I felt so raw from their words. “But not just because of William’s good news, but also because we’ve got ourselves a daughter.”

And that’s all it takes. I slide off the chair and walk on my knees toward her and she hugs me close.

“You Sophie, have become a true joy. And my son isn’t the only one that is over the moon that you’ve come into our lives.”

“Finn,”Lulu hollers out as she walks in the back door from the porch. I assume it’s because she heard his laughter and she has developed this radar whenever he is near. I am starting to realize that he is her new favorite person. “I’ve missed you, boy.” She is smiling from ear to ear and it’s contagious.

“Well, sweetheart you just saw me yesterday,” he tells her.

Of course she is immediately swooning at his endearment. I know he knows what he is doing and that he says these things to her on purpose. He loves to get a rise out of her, he feeds her energy.

Finn enjoys getting her all wound up triggering the ongoing banter that seems to kickstart every time the two of them are in the room together. I am beginning to believe that the two of them were cut from the same cloth. It’s magical to watch them together and I know my parents love it too. Knowing that she loves him and he loves her the way they do is perfection.
