Banger cried out in pain.“What the hell?”
“You took my woman and then you took his woman.We owe you quite the beating, motherfucker.So, get good and ready for it.”Deke smirked at him.
Without saying a thing, Iceman kicked Banger right between the legs.
Banger screamed out in pain as he cupped his injured crotch.He couldn’t catch his breath for a long moment.He then turned on his side and curled his legs up into a fetal position.“Jesus Christ,” he muttered under his breath.“Just take your women and go home.”
Iceman smiled.“We will when we are damned good and ready.But you aren’t in charge anymore,Virgil...And I say that we aren’t done here yet.”He leaned over him and pulled his fist back to slam it down on Banger’s jaw.He knocked him clean out but he also heard the crunch of the other man’s bones under his fist.Iceman got up and shook out his hand.
“Watch it there brother, you need that hand to rev your bike with.”Deke winked at him.He looked around the room and spotted a floor to ceiling brace beam holding up the floor above their heads.Grabbing Banger’s vest, he dragged him across the room to the brace then he grabbed two zip ties out of his back pocket.Pulling Banger’s hands behind his back he zip tied them around the brace.He made the ties tight enough to hurt.
Meanwhile, Iceman looked around the warehouse for something, when he entered the breakroom he had to grin.He found some sugar in one of the cabinets.He grabbed it and went back to the main room.Raising it up, he showed it to Deke.
Deke knew instantly what it meant.He shook his head and chided him, “That’s not nice.You don’t mess with a biker’s ride.”
Iceman scoffed.“He deserves it.Motherfucker broke all the rules.He had an out and he should have stayed away but he came back.He came back and snatched my woman.Then he hurt her.He deserves to lose his ride at the very least.”
Iceman shook the sugar bottle to break the sugar inside it into large chunks.He headed over to where the motorcycle was parked.The very one they saw Peaches pinned to with her arms tied behind her on that video.He screwed the top off then opened the gas tank and poured the chunks into it.He looked over at Deke and shrugged.“Normally, I wouldn’t do this to another biker.I realize fully that it’s a harsh, almost sacrilegious act ...like breaking a man’s heart but he crossed enough lines and passed unforgivable acts himself like 2 days back already.In return, I’m leaving him with a lesson not to mess with us.Boston is a two hour ride from here but he won’t get that far.He’s gonna have a long walk but he’ll learn.”
Deke cocked his head at him and replied, “You know I always liked your way of thinking, brother.I promised Cassie I wouldn’t kill him.But all of this won’t cause his death.He might just wish for it though.”He walked over and knelt at Banger’s feet to unlace his boots.When he took them off he made a face.“Whew!This man needs to bathe more often.God damnit, his feet stink.”Deke then swiftly tied his laces together and carried them to the back door.He looked back at Iceman and asked, “You coming?”
Iceman threw the empty sugar bottle into the corner and the glass shattered.He brushed his hands off and walked over to Banger.He glared down at the man who took his Peaches.Damn, he wanted to leave him here, dead.He then did several things...He grabbed the phone from Virgil’s back pocket and took out the battery.Throwing the battery as far away as he could, he slipped the cell back into Banger’s back pocket.Then he spat on him and stood to join Deke at the door.
Deke cocked his head at him.
Iceman said, “He will be stuck on the side of the road and then he’ll find he can’t call for help.”He grinned widely as he opened the door and walked through.
Deke followed, pulling the door shut behind him.
Cassie and Peaches looked at their men carefully.Neither of them asked them anything at all.Cassie went to Deke and Peaches went to Iceman.
“Are we done here?”Cassie asked her husband.
“Yeah baby, I think we’re done here,” Deke assured her.
Peaches looked up at her husband.
He gave her a nod.“He’s still alive and I don’t think he’ll be back to bother either of you anymore.”
Peaches shook her head.“No, I don’t think so either.He knows where his money is so he can go get it and be done here.”
Cassie smiled and Deke caught it.“What the hell did you do?”he asked her quietly.
She gave him an innocent look.“Little ole me?I just told him the truth, is all.I told him where Robbie hung out, I just didn’t tell him where the gold was hidden.”
Peaches gasped and asked, “It’s not there?”
Cassie shook her head.“I didn’t say that.It should be there but Robbie learned the hard way that his mother always hid the best of her treasure in plain sight.Janelle was just that kind of woman.She never liked to brag but if you knew where to look you could see her greatest treasure but people have a way of overlooking the obvious, don’t they?”
“Are you kidding me?”Iceman stared at her.
Cassie shrugged.“Janelle liked the fact that most people just walked past her fortune and they never even knew it was right there.Cash, gold coins, gold bars.All you had to know is what it really was.”
“She used to laugh at people all the time,” Peaches joined in.“Us kids knew enough not to touch anything in that house.She beat Cassie every time she got too close to her money.None of the rest of us knew what it was but she always kept track of where Cassie was.She never trusted her at all.”
Deke shook head.“I still don’t get it, but let’s get you girls home.Peaches needs some first aid.”He motioned for Cassie to lead the way.“And you need more rest, my sly wife.”
