“Wonderful, Mr. Hale. See you then.”

I rumble off a goodbye and then pull a pillow over my head. Guess my dream last night is literally going to come true.

I only lie there a minute before pushing myself up and getting dressed so that I have enough time to make it over.

I don’t have time for breakfast, but I soothe myself by promising to grab something decadent to eat on the way home with my sweet, sweet fifty bucks.

What a fucking treat.

Hopping in my car, I make the ten-minute drive across town, and when I step out, I see that long line again. They’re standing like zombies, eyes focused on the door, a security guard standing watch.

Poor fuckers, I think as I pull the door open, walk to the counter, and check in. I wonder what makes my cum so different from theirs.

It’s a little scary, if I’m being honest. I’ve never bothered trying to make it taste good with pineapple or whatever ridiculous trend is going around.

So, why am I being called in when there’s a line of people almost wrapped around the side of the building?

I suppose it doesn’t matter, really. I’m here. They’re not. I get fifty bucks and get to get off in the process.

Win-win, I think.

Music is playing over the speakers, different from what was on last time. I think it’s supposed to be relaxing, but it only makes me more jittery as I put my number in and then wait in the uncomfortable lobby chair to be called back.

A minute later, Kelsea from two days ago appears from the side door to escort me back to the lockers.

“Well, well, Everest. Good to see you again so soon.”

My cheeks flush at the implication. I wouldn’t be here if I had a choice. But when money’s involved, I don’t really consider that a choice.

“Yeah, I had a request for my time.”

“Oh, I see.”

“Is that…normal?” I can’t help but ask as I grab the gown.

She tilts her head to regard me. “No, it’s not. It happens, but it’s pretty rare. And for someone like—” She stops herself, and I wait.

“Someone like…?”

Shaking her head, she waves me off. “Never mind. You’re just one of the lucky ones. There’s a whole line waiting out there, hoping to get in. But I can’t pretend to understand why monsters like some people and not others.”

So, it’s not just me, but it’s also not most people. Interesting. I file that away for later as I shove my phone and shoes into the locker.

I can’t really decide if I’m actually lucky. I mean, most people don’t get paid for this, so that’s something. And the Vyastil commander was very into me. Or, well, the taste of me.

He didn’t seem to like me as a person much, not that I give a shit.

The moment I’m alone, I swap from my clothes into the gown, then poke my head around the corner to find Kelsea tapping away on the small tablet she carries. She looks up and meets my gaze with a small smile.

“All ready?”

“I guess so.” How ready can anyone be for this?

She doesn’t seem to notice the conflict on my face as she taps her clipboard against the doorframe and says, “I believe you still know what to do.”

“Yep.” There’s not a chance in hell I’ll ever forget.

Her smile widens. “Great. See you on the other side.”
